The Beast House ( Beast House chronicles book 2)

Author Gorman Hardy is hot on the trail of another bestseller and if half what's said about Malcasa Point is true, he's bound to make a killing. Petite and pretty Tyler and sexy Nora visit Malcasa full of expectation. But Malcasa Point is a place of pain, bestiality and death in The Beast House.
Well I have to say it’s 100% better than The Cellar! I can see from other reviews a lot of people agree on it. I found myself enjoying this. It was a classic horror in my opinion and there’s nothing wrong with a bit of classic. I enjoyed the captains story on Bobo it was very King Kong based except this was a rampant rabbit monster gone wild! A bit of cheese to keep a girl who loves horror happy.

Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2200 KP) rated Exposure in Books
Mar 9, 2018
Kaycee Raye is known in town for her paranoia. But when someone does break into her house, leave a threatening message, and then take it again before the police arrive, will she get anyone to believe her? I saw a major twist coming fairly early, but for the most part I enjoy this tale of Christian suspense.

Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2200 KP) rated Stork Raving Mad (Meg Langslow, #12) in Books
Mar 9, 2018
Meg is eight and a half months pregnant with twins, but that doesn't stop her from investigating when a member of Michael's tenure committee is killed in their overcrowded house. This book wasn't as funny as some of the earlier books in the series, but it was still amusing. And the mystery was great as always.

Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2200 KP) rated The Shooting Script (Diagnosis Murder, #3) in Books
Mar 9, 2018
When Mark hears a gunshot at a neighbor's house, he investigates to find two dead bodies who have been dead for more than a couple of minutes. He's certain the killer is the person with the perfect alibi. Can he prove it? Lots of twists and turns with characters who live up to their TV show persona. Another great read.

Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2200 KP) rated Magic and Other Misdemeanors in Books
Mar 9, 2018
The Grimm family is trying to pay the high taxes to save their house and track down several stolen magical items. I was drawn into this book very quickly and loved how the characters are developing. Unfortunately, the climax was once again a little weak and the coda was nothing more than a set up for the next book

Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2200 KP) rated Evans to Betsy (Constable Evans, #6) in Books
Mar 9, 2018
Betsy the barmaid is discovered to have psychic powers by a visiting American. Evan doesn't believe until Betsy shows up at his house with a vision of a dead body - a vision that turns out to be true. Does she truly have a gift? Another great read with a strong plot and charming characters.
