I have been waiting for [Enders] by [Lissa Price] since I read [Starters] as an ARC. I absolutely love the premise of these stories. I have recommended(and will continue) to recommend them to my students. In fact I have pretty much made [Starters] required reading for the kids in my Future Problem Solving group.
The characters are strong and I am always happy to see a female in a strong role which thankfully has been the trend in YA literature (with one blaring exception recently).
The story is fast paced, in fact I read the book in under 24 hours. [Enders] picked up right where [Starters] left off. I look forward to reading more books written by [Lissa Price].

In the beginning [Forty Days at Kamas] it was a little difficult to follow. I understood that this was the United States in the future and a totalitarian government was in place that was persecuting people. The question was why? I don't think that was ever fully cleared up but the plot and the characters were strong enough to keep the story moving.
I think the confusion may have been intentional so the reader could feel what the characters were feeling. The parallel story lines of the characters worked well.
I bought this book since I had received [The Star Chamber Brotherhood] as by [Preston Fleming] and wanted to read the whole trilogy. I recommend it for a deeper read. It definitely is not a light read.

If you are a fan of Star Wars, especially of the new interconnected canon, this book is for you. Including a timeline, a who's who of important figures in the Star Wars universe, information on the more important planets in the Star Wars galaxies, and then more detailed maps of the areas of importance on each of these planets, this books has a little bit of everything to help you map out the where/when/who of the new canon. Very informative and artistically detailed, this is an excellent addition to any Star Wars fan's library. I'm hoping that as future movies, books, and cartoons are released, they will release updated editions of this book to include the new locales. A Star Wars geek's dream!

How far have we come?
While watching this film I kept thinking these events happened nearly fifty years ago and attitudes by powerful men toward women really haven't changed that much. The revelations in Hollywood recently were obviously long overdue and hopefully will start changing things for the better in the future.
The attention to detail in this film and acting were very believable and made you engage with the story immediately. Although the second act seemed to drag a bit, the developing relationships needed time to manifest to assist in the film's payoff.
I love a movie with a good soundtrack and this one didn't disappoint either as my toes were tappin' throughout.
Highly recommended.

Fantastic, the concept is awesome and in my opinion a snapshot of how the world could be on it's current path. Unfortunately I am not a videogame nerd, some of the references were lost on me but 80s film and TV, I loved the connection to the culture of the time period. Since Back to the future I have been a fan of the Delorean car and was excited it was bought back in this story. The book was a thrill, geek ride from start to finish. My only regret is that I didn't discover it when in was first published in 2011.
Now I have read it I can't wait to see the film, player one is well and truly ready!

Our future society? Made up of 5 factions that you must be a part of or you'll be part of the unwanted factionless. At 15, Beatrice, later known as Tris, has to decide between her parents faction or something different, something more. Belonging part of the selfless faction just isnt quite what she's all about. How will she adjust to this new and exciting faction where being proud, strong and brave is what its all about? Including learning how to fight and defend. Not only that but there's more to all the societies, a secret, a secret that Tris is part of and not in a way that people want to see her stay alive. I can't wait to read Insurgent!

this is the first book by chelle bliss that I've read but the second book by brenda rothert I've read. i really enjoyed this book and fell in love with it from the first page. the chemistry between the characters set the pages alight. this book has everything you want in a romance book, fantastic story line, fab characters, plenty of hot steamy scenes and a bit of banter between the characters. these two author have come together and bought you a book which you'll want to keep reading long into the night and leave you wanting more and more. i personally cant wait for more by these two authors in the future.

this book is the perfect summer read that you'll want to read all day in the sun. this book has it all, some emotional parts, some that will make you laugh out loud, lots of light hearted moments and the hot steamy scenes making the pages set alight. I loved the characters and how the interacted with each other, the banter between them was very well written. this is definitely a fantastic romantic read that you'll want to keep reading till the last page. this author has a fab way of writing so that you just eat up every page written. I cant wait to read more from this author in the future.

In this exciting domestic thriller by Ruth Harrow, Harriet tells the story of her abuse and her efforts to go into hiding from her husband Dan.
Having fled from London, she sets up shop in Coventry, rebuilding her life, working and cautiously making new friends again. From the outside all looks well. However, the reader is led into a false sense of security and slowly we watch Harriet’s paranoia get the better of her, and cannot help but wonder if she is just worried because her past, or if there is something deeper going on.
In Her Footsteps was an entertaining debut book, broaching difficult topics surrounding physical abuse and the emotional distress it causes. I’ll be looking out for more from this author in the future.

What's interesting is reading this book at 33, feeling not nearly as intelligent or gifted as I did growing up, I could connect with the characters. While Colin is 17/18 in this book, he's going through the same questions as I am/have. The last chapter is really where it all comes together for me. I will read it again along with the appendix because there's a lot of meaning in it, more than can be absorbed in a quick read.
This is my first John Green book. I enjoyed the writing style and will definitely read more in the future. I recommend this book for anyone undergoing an identity crisis to resolve who they were or thought they were with who they are.
