David McK (3600 KP) rated King of the North (Fire Born #4) in Books

Of which this is the fourth.
Personally, I think I've always preferred his Outlaw Chronicles, followed by the Holcroft Blood trilogy, with these Viking-era bringing up the rear.
Having said that, it is what it is.
In this particular entry, Bjarki and his sister Tor end up involved in the little-known (and semi-legendary) Battle of Bravellir, initially on opposite sides of the Shield Wall.
I have to say, it's a battle that I have never heard of before ...
Anyway, the result is an OK read, but (as previously stated, and for my money) the characters and history are just not as interesting as those in the Outlaw Chronicles or in the Holcroft Blood series.
I'll still probably read any future entries, though.

The timestone? Yep, was essential to resolving Infinity War in Endgame
<original review below>
The film that introduced magic (and the Time Stone, which will probably be essential to resolving Infinity War in Endgame), in which Benedict Cumberbatch plays Benedict Cumberbatch as the future Sorcerer Supreme, with Tilda Swinton as the current holder of that title.
As an aside: that was actually a cause of controversy at the time: why not cast an Asian or Eastern actor in that role instead of whitewashing it? went the argument.
The plot may also seem to be a reprise of Iron Man: rich, arrogant, privileged white man suffers personal catastrophe and heads East, returning a changed man. What sets this apart, however, is the somewhat psychedelic effects that often seem to owe more than a bit to Christopher Nolan's movie Inception!

Well written and with excellent pacing, this book contains no editing or grammatical errors that I found. Definitely recommended. Some M/M and F/F action.
* A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book, and the comments here are my honest opinion. *

Or her music career.
Not of what is, essentially, a version of the 1980s FASA miniatures game "Battletech" or the "MechWarrior" series if computer game spins offs.
Which is more-or-less what this feels like, with J-Lo's character in the future - who distrusts all technology - trapped inside the cockpit of a mobile armoured fighting robot (Gundam, perhaps, as another touchstone, or even Armoured Core) and needing to interact with the AI of said suit whilst on a mission to another planet to hunt down rogue AI - that she has a personal connection with - that attempted to commit genocide against the human race.
Actually better than I thought it would be, but unlikely to win any awards!

With his son sick and running out of life-saving medicine, Mackie's character Will resolves to travel 'below the line' to the nearest hospital, alongside his now-deceased wife's best friend and the woman whom he blames for said wife's death, in an attempt to procure more medicine and return back home with the same.
Film has a mid-credit scene, that sets up where the sequel (if it comes!) will go!
