Great 3rd season
Some episodes were great, took me longer than usual to finish the episode, not really able to get into the season as it was telling two stories at one and kept switching between the two, though there was some link between them, some episodes were a loss

One of my new favorite series. I love gargoyles and don't see many good stories with them. Mix gargoyles with sexy and you get this book. Amazing characters, amazing plot and storyline. Sexy man/gargoyle. I loved the way the story played out and how everything came together. I loved the attraction and the twist in the story. Everything in this makes me excited for the next book. I can't wait until it comes out. Amazing!

Darkness Rising (Chateau Seductions 0.5) by Lisa Carlisle
Darkness Rising is a short prequel to the Chateau Seductions series. We meet Antoine for the first time, and see how his life changed from being a gargoyle sculpter, to becoming a gargoyle/vampire hybrid recluse, owning a chateau and helping artists.

This isn't a long book, but it definitely helps to give you an insight into the enigmatic owner of the chateau. You are with him through the years as he says goodbye to his family and learns how to cope by himself. Two characters are introduced who will play a big part in the next book, Dark Velvet. We meet Cameron in dire circumstances and see how his friendship with Antoine grows. And we meet Savannah, who Antoine is immediately attracted to, but always want to help with her poetry.

For a quick dip into the Chateau Seductions world, then I can definitely recommend reading this short prequel. Definitely recommended by me.

* A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book, and my comments here are my honest opinion. *

HEART BANDIT is the first book in the Gargoyle Night Guardians series, and we start off with Beaumont, who has been a Gargoyle for over 800 years. We find a new world of evil fae, the Critch, dubious souls, and an unwillingness to give in. Sadie does what she has to, to survive and plan for her longterm goal of getting her GED. If this includes pickpocketing, then so be it. However, all things change when she takes Beaumont's spark stone.

Rosalie Redd has created a world of interest, with strong alpha males and feisty females to keep them on their toes. There is no "insta-bond" between our two main characters, just good, old-fashioned lust and interest. There are plenty more characters I can't wait to hear about, not limited to Drake, the leader of the Chicago Gargoyles who you don't actually see much of.

The world-building is wonderful, the characters come alive, and the pacing is smooth. All in all, this has been a great read and I can't wait to continue with the series. After all, I'm really hoping for Drake!

The Phantom of the Opera (2005)
The Phantom of the Opera (2005)
2005 | Drama, Horror, Musical
The Phantom of the Opera is here ...
2005 film version of the Broadway show, starring Emmy Rossum (Christine Daae) and Gerard Butler (as the Phantom).

And therein lies it's greatest problem: Butler (and, to an extent, all the modern Phantom's) is just too conventionally good-looking for the hideous disfigured gargoyle who haunts the Parisian Opera catacombs but dreams of higher things!

That aside, this is definitely sumptuously filmed, with some great sets. Some catchy tunes, with the latter to be expected

I.t's just that, well, it does tend to drag a bit.

I suppose, in effect, it's like going to the Opera without actually going to the Opera ...

Magical Midlife Dating ( Leveling Up book 2)
By K.F. Breene

She must learn to fly, but can she withstand the allure of the handsome new teacher?

A Wall Street Journal bestseller and Top 3 book in the entire Amazon Kindle store!

The decision has been made. Jessie has taken the magic, and all the weird that goes with it. Including wings.

There's only one problem - she can't figure out how to access them.

Through a series of terrible decisions, Jessie realizes she must ask for help. Gargoyle help.

But she could've never predicted who answers her call - he's an excellent flier, incredibly patient, and a good trainer. He's also incredibly handsome. And interested.

Maybe flying isn't the only thing she needs help with. Maybe she needs help getting back on that saddle, too, emerging into the dating pool.

Except, the new gargoyle is also an alpha, just like Austin, and the town isn't big enough for two.

Turns out, flying is the least of her problems.

I love this series for so many reasons it’s just so funny. Niamh is just hilarious I love her! I love how they call human men and women Dicks and Janes there is just so much to grab onto and each chapter and character brings a smile. It’s so well written I highly recommend it especially if you need a break from those all to serious books.

I received a copy of Storm and Fury from Netgalley and Harlequin Teen in exchange for an honest review.

Sexy shapeshifting gargoyle boys! Count me in!

I was initially confused because this one jumps right into the story. Turns out it's a spin-off, so that explains a lot.

It started of a little slow but once the action starts it doesn't really let up.

I really liked Trinity. She could have easily been an obnoxious Chosen One ™ type but the book managed to avoid that.

Also Trinity is disabled which I appreciate so much as a disabled woman. Every bit of representation matters and I love the matter of fact way a degenerative disease is s dealt with.
