The Catcher Was a Spy (2018)
2018 | Biography, Drama, War
Very interesting (and excellent) cast. Paul Rudd, Paul Giamatti, Jeff Daniels, and Guy Pierce all step outside their general wheel houses and bring together a wonderful performance about a true chain of events that unfolded during World War II.

As a Red Sox fan I had a general idea of the story surrounding Moe Berg, but I was enlightened about several different elements of the story by the movie and even more so I was driven to do additional research and found out even more information about this unheralded American Hero.

If you're looking for an action romp this isn't where you'll find it. This is a movie that will capture your imagination and you will almost forget that this is all based on a true story.

This book wasn't what I thought. I bought it thinking it talked more about the paintings that were featured in it. That wasn't what it was at all. It was more of a condensed biography of Dali's life. It was an interesting read mostly because Dali was a fascinating character in the art world & the world in general.

My kind of hilarious, honest travel guide
Bill Bryson's journey through the US is laugh out loud hilarious. His quick wit, extremely dry sarcasm and general shock of travelling around North America is exactly what every travel guide should say. He's scathing about his outlook for good reasons, at the same time he still loves his home. Brilliant read.

The series in general captivated me as a kid and still does every time I read it. Every character develops consistently throughout the duration of the plot. One of the best books and series I have ever read. ***side note: anyone who thinks umbridge is less evil than voldemort can go sit in a corner
