Suswatibasu (1703 KP) rated Surviving AI: The promise and peril of artificial intelligence in Books

Good overview of the major talking points of AI
Artificial General Intelligence (AGI or AI) is a very important topics for us all to understand, as it will dictate the future of our world. To get this education right is difficult, as it spans the simple everyday and the complex future all in one.
This book does a great job of explaining AI to all levels of audience including a layman, and will inform you so that you can become central to, or part of, this important debate, and not just a bystander.

The core cast are back again (2 more)
Great opening sequence
The jokes and references to sequels in general
You have to follow the rules of the sequel
He we go again with our survivors of the first film trying to survive the sequel. Another great opening sequence with the premier of Stab. The film in the film based on the murders of the first film. Ghost face is back but who could be behind the mask this time. A great film for Slasher fans.

Daniel Boyd (1066 KP) rated Blue and Lonesome by The Rolling Stones in Music
Jul 26, 2017
Smoky and Serene
When I heard the Stones were releasing a blues cover album, I though that Keith Richards would steal the show, but it is actually Jagger who is most prominent on this record. This album proves that the Stones have still got it and at times, they sound just like they did when they were in their 30's. If you are a Stones fan or a fan of blues music in general, then this is essential.

Shyamalan back on form
Considering Shyamalan hasn't made a great film since Unbreakable, I really hadn't been expecting much from this and I'm pleased to say I was proved wrong.
This is a great return to form. James McAvoy puts in a fantastic turn as the multiple personalities, and the story itself is tense and interesting. The twist at the end was good, although I did find the general ending itself (prior to the twist) was a little disappointing but not enough to ruin the film.

RaeJ (5 KP) rated Love You Dead (Roy Grace book 12) in Books
Sep 6, 2017
The storyline in general is very good and it stays true to real life when the scene is described as it's set primarily in Brighton, England. Peter James has a very good descriptive style with his work and it definitely shows with this story. (1 more)
This book is very gripping and it definitely keeps you engaged and wanting to read more.
Gripping As Usual

wide range of topics (1 more)
books!
A lot of the book podcasts I've seen are specialized, focusing on a specific genre or series. Annotated is a ranged bookish podcast, with episodes ranging from the stories behind specific books to the publishing industry in general.
They're currently in their second season, and if it's anything like the first, the run is probably going to be short. (Season 1 was only 6 episodes long.)
But they pack a lot of information and a variety of topics into the episodes that they do have.

A Breakfast Club whodunnit!
Okay I have to say I was completely shocked with just how much I enjoyed this one! I am not really a fan of mysteries in general because I always guess the ending no matter how cleaved the book/show thinks they're being. But when it came to One Of Us Is Lying is just couldn't put it down. I guessed the ending a little before the halfway point but it didn't bother me at all since McManus kept throwing more curve balls that had me second guessing myself.

Kate (355 KP) rated Hanna (2011) in Movies
Mar 30, 2019 (Updated Mar 30, 2019)
Was looking around for something to watch, was going to watch the series Hanna then noticed that there was originally a film. Throughly enjoyed it, great atmospheric music too although I don't normally notice it if I am engrossed in a film. The film is open ended so there could have been a second one but I presume that will be covered in the series. Not sure if I will watch the series now that I know the general storyline unless it is expanded on. Would recommend the film.
