Would you believe that with how much I love the first one, I love this one even more? I love the competition aspect and the whole plot in general. I LOVE the ending, I think that's one of the strongest parts of this film. Genuinely, I just love this film overall. I don't know what more I can say. It's definitely one of the best feel-good films to be made and just like the first one, I will continue to watch it over and over again well into my old age.

One book that I returned to many times was Tolstoy’s great work, War and Peace. (Although the word war was in the title, this book was permitted.) I was particularly taken with the portrait of General Kutuzov, whom everyone at the Russian court underestimated. Kutuzov defeated Napoleon precisely because he was not swayed by the ephemeral and superficial values of the court, and made his decisions on a visceral understanding of his men and his people. It reminded me once again that to truly lead one’s people one must also truly know them.

This was a great, thoroughly researched book about the 1996 Atlanta Bombing, and the subsequent railroading of the security guard, Richard Jewell. It didn't make Jewell appear to be squeaky-clean, it was honest and didn't shy away from his not-so-great personality traits.
I felt it was fair to everyone involved. I'm still not a fan of the reporter in general, but I did feel bad for her in the end. Overall, it was a good book that gave the background and whole story of the event.

While Catherine Morland is quite the least intelligent and most naive of all of Austen's protagonists, she starts out slightly annoying but becomes more likable as story unfolds. Filled with the usual romantic intrigues, what makes this different is the inclusion of the passion for horror novels by our hero, which her heart's desire shares with her, and how he uses it to pique her imagination just a touch too much - almost to her detriment. In general, a delightful story, and while not my favorite, it certainly is a lovely read.

Bit of a slow burner. Became very interesting and intriguing but then seemed to end very quickly. (0 more)
Slow burner.
The title had me intrigued, i found the book to be rather slow to start then the middle grabbed me with all of the action but then it seemed to come to an abrupt end as if the author ran out of time. I think more could have been put into wrapping up the story. However in general i wouldnt say it was a bad book but it just takes a bit of perseverance to start.
