Merissa (14064 KP) rated Caelon (Rocky Mountain Pack #3) in Books

Caeolon knows Selene is his mate, but she is only seventeen, so he worships her from afar. And, yeah, okay, there might be a little stalking involved, but the good kind of stalking. Know what I mean? Anyway, Selene is nearing her eighteenth birthday and feels drawn to Caelon, even if she isn't completely sure why. She is having dreams and finding sweet gifts, which she finds thoughtful, not threatening.
These two were so good together. I mean, seriously! It is a cosy story, though, even with some spicy moments, so don't expect too much. I would have liked a little more back story about Caelon's family before he spilt the beans to Selene, but it worked as it was. I loved how protective Selene was of him, of her mate who so obviously adored her. This only became clearer as the story moved on.
A perfect pair that I loved and read in one sitting. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this story, and give it 4.5 out of 5.

Merissa (14064 KP) rated Amplified: Sean and Alex in Books
Apr 15, 2023
The actual premise of the story is amazing and I thoroughly enjoyed it. What I didn't enjoy so much was that I never knew if it was a flashback or not, or basically what timeframe I was in. It felt quite disjointed as we leapt from the past, to the present, and back again; never knowing why. At least, not in my copy. Because of this, I felt like I spent more time trying to put it in order than I did actually getting into the story, so I never really connected with either of the main characters or the supporting characters. I also felt as though Sean and Alex didn't connect fully themselves.
This is the first book in this series and also the first book by this author I have read. There are enough positives here for me to say it was a good read and I will definitely read book two when it comes out.

Kim Pook (101 KP) rated Luckiest Girl Alive (2022) in Movies
May 5, 2023
One day a film maker approaches Tiffany to Interview her on her involvement in a school shooting, she claims she wasn't involved but a quick Google search by Tiffany shows she is being blamed for being involved, she needs to decide whether or not to do the interview.
Tiffany's past comes back to haunt her in various ways. Someone calls her a psycho on her Facebook page and she bumps into her old school teacher, who we find out in flashbacks helped her after a dramatic event at a party. It is soon evident that Tiffany has anger issues and still struggling due to what happened.
The whole movie is leading up to what happened on the day of the shooting, it keeps you guessing as to whether or not she was the shooter. It takes around an hour and 13 minutes to get to the actual event but it really did need that build up.
It's not a bad movie, the acting is superb and certain scenes are difficult to watch but executed so well. If you like dramas you are sure to enjoy this one, even if it's a one time only view.
