"In LA, we had the gang culture. In New York, they didn’t really at the time because they had already finished with that in the seventies. Motherfuckers in New York was smarter than everyone else, because they had books on the streets. You would pick up the books and that’s where the Five Percent Nation came in, giving the street kids and the thugs knowledge. When they wouldn’t listen in the schools, they would listen in the streets. The Brand Nubians came from that place."

DNF@60%

I shouldn't have downloaded this. I should have left this well alone and just had the first book as a stand alone because i think my tastes have changed a little since i read the first book--and gave it 5 stars.

I struggled to get into this and skimmed it from about 20% to the current 60% before giving up. I just couldn't gel with the story or characters. Maybe i just couldnt remember enough of the first book...so yeah. DNF.

Time to waste?
This movie was bad. Acting was good...Great actually...It’s the plot that’s just bad. It seemed so promising for a while but failed after a while. I’m disappointed to say the least. I’m giving it 4 because the actors put their all into it. The story is a good idea. But it failed. Maybe this would have been better as a series...Where there’s a lot of character development...To the point where the audience begins to care for everyone.
