Just rewatched and i still love this film tobey maguire is spider - man u totally believe in him the rest of the cast are just as brillant including j. k. simmons as j jonah jameson the one thing i didnt like the green goblin costume everything else perfect great soundtrack

Esther knows the rules. Don't talk to the goblins. Don't look at the goblins. Above all else, don't buy or trade with the goblins.
Then, one day before market, she sees a young rat faced boy selling a necklace that looks eerily like her mother's, what's a young girl to do? Of course she tries to buy it, but he won't sell it to her. So she steals it because it's her mother's necklace.
Lux knows the rules. He's a jeweler and he can sell his wares to those who want to faithfully buy them. Something doesn't feel right about selling this particular piece to the beautiful young woman who immediately steals his heart. So he doesn't.
But when he realizes the mortal girl stole from him, he's forced to enact magic that can't be unwritten. Stealing from a goblin always has a price.
I like it! A strange little novella of a mortal being unwittingly kidnapped by a goblin and finding herself his bride! Of course she falls in love with a rat goblin and chooses to change into a goblin! It was straight to the point and a fun little read!

The Goblin King won't make this easy, however. He always seems one step ahead of her. To defeat him, she'll have to put everything on the line.
Even her heart.
I really enjoyed this! It was all fairytale vibes and such a sweet story. The characters were all such fun and it’s definitely a tale of don’t judge before you have taken the time to get to know. Really enjoyable light read.

Dance, magic, dance
Its one of those movies that you love as a child and when you come back to it as an adult you realise how messed up it is haha. I love singing along to the songs, but the orange hairy puppets still freak me out. David Bowie is fantastic as the goblin king if you order all the child marriage/kidnap and turn baby into a goblin thing. Overall, fun movie and a timeless classic.
