I was kinda disappointed by the romance in this. It didn't quite live up to my expectations and was nowhere near as fun and charming as reading Dex and Sloane's story but God, the banter was still there, the intriguing THIRDS mission/plot had me thinking... I was still there in love with those last two things but the Cael and Ash romance? Kinda boring.

Nevertheless, I cannot wait to read more of this series.

I'm still liking this but the romance aspect is taking a little too long to get there now. I guess it can be hard to have a relationship with five brothers but come on! As for the whole Sol/Dweller/God thing. I kinda want everyone to get what they deserve right now. Dweller's to get rights, Sol's to stop being so horrible to the Dweller's and the God's to stop meddling.

Off to start book 3!

God, this was tough in places. The Jayden thing proper had me crying and then Rider trying to do the right thing...Jeez, I was a mess for a while. Thsi made me an emotional wreck, and as much as i might have wanted a break so my tears could dry up, i didn't want to put the book down. The signs of a good book in my opinion.

I really like my JLA books.

"Dr. Strangelove, I got to revisit recently. My daughters, obviously, said, “Well, Pop, what film should we watch?” It’s been an eye opener. You name one of your favorite films, and then you sit down and watch it with them and, “It’s no good! It’s really dated and slow.” Oh, my God. Like, I pushed Airplane on them. I said, “Funniest movie ever made.” Well, there’s funny bits in it, but it’s hard to sit through now."

"That bitch goes crazy. Oh my god, she’s so dope, bro. She has an album that’s 15 songs, and the album is 15 minutes long. Every single song is exactly a minute long. That’s genius. It’s like, when I listen to music, I never listen past a minute, like ever, it’s like a thing. People hate it about me, but it’s true. So with her stuff, it’s like you play it all, and there you have it"

"Blanche Dubois says, “I don’t want realism, I want magic. Yes, Yes magic!” For me, that is the essence of Tennessee’s voice. We all long for magic, to leave our human shells for respite. That’s why I became an actor. But my favorite quote in all of literature is, “Sometimes—there’s God—so quickly.” To me that means a moment of grace comes when we least expect it, at the moment we need it the most."
