"Whoopi Goldberg at her best. I probably watched this a million times on VHS when I was a kid. It’s so fun, and all of the nuns are hilarious."

Who doesn't enjoy a good parody
Emilio estevez and. Samuel .L. Jackson portray the parodic versions of lethal weapons Riggs and Murtough, with brilliant cast Cameos including Woopie Goldberg, Bruce Willis and charlie sheen (1st movie appearance), this is a little gem that shouldn't go unnoticed.

Why another version
Same story boy gets bitten by spider get unbelivable powers. I know there was different version of the comic in many ways but, why ruin a good thing. Emma Stone is good but no better than Dunst. I also didn't buy Goldberg as spider man

"For many years I was curious about human consciousness. How did we become conscious of our consciousness? McKenna argues, quite convincingly, that it may have been because of our hunter gatherer ancestors consumption of psychotropic plants and herbs. Fun fact: the book was recommended to me by Whoopi Goldberg."

"“I don’t know what it is about it, but I just love Whoopi Goldberg. She’s amazing – every role that she does, she’s so underestimated and underrated. When she’s given a script she always goes through as a black woman and asks for things to be changed if they’re not accurate to life. And I love the idea of nuns running around and going wild.”"

"I am trying to choose works that cover as much ground as possible and are diverse… I’ve heard amazing things about this book from a person that I trust… The musical is currently on Broadway (starring Cynthia Erivo, Jennifer Hudson and Danielle Brooks) and a film was made of the book in 1985 by Steven Spielberg. It was Oprah Winfrey’s film debut and introduced Whoopi Goldberg (I love both of these women). I’m excited to read it and maybe do some watching too."

Fun, Rube Goldberg-esque setups, beautiful (as always with Jeunet) (0 more)
not as hard hitting as some of his other work, somewhat cartoony (0 more)
A fun romp, but not Jeunet's best
This is really good, my expectations for the director are somewhat unfairly high. It is a story about revenge and poetic justice, yet manages to be fun. A little magical, and a lot whimsical. Really good for people who are not put off by zany and stylized things. (Same category, but different flavor to Wes Anderson, say)
