Not as in the characters are nearly all played by Muppets.
Michael Caine, also, does a pretty good Scrooge, playing it as serious as a heart attack whilst the usual Muppety mayhem goes on around him - Kermit the Frog is Bob Cratchitt, Miss Piggy (of course) Mrs Cratchitt, whilst Gonzo provides the narration (as Charles Dickens) alongside Rizzo the rat.
The tale itself, of the ghosts who visit Scrooge on Christmas Eve (most famously the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future), and convince him to change his ways, is timeless.

Awix (3310 KP) rated The Accountant (2016) in Movies
Mar 11, 2018 (Updated Mar 17, 2018)
The plot eventually ends up being completely gonzo, involving corruption in the robotics industry and duelling assassins, but the movie fends off the moment when you shout 'this is all utterly ridiculous!' for a surprisingly long time. Eclectic cast includes Affleck, John Lithgow, Jon Bernthal, and Anna Kendrick (who appears to be about three feet tall in a few of her scenes). A fun and engaging movie; not a particularly great thriller but all the peripheral weirdness keeps it watchable.

Suswatibasu (1703 KP) rated Digging Up Mother: A Love Story in Books
Oct 14, 2017 (Updated Oct 15, 2017)
For all lovers of gonzo, Doug Stanhope reaches the top of the list of crude humour, insane experiences muddled in with bittersweet memories.
This autobiography is hilarious, and the only way to read it, is to listen to it, given there are so many 'director's comments', in which Doug and his friends discuss the incident at hand. Also the fact that he is drunk at times and will loudly burp just adds to the book so much more than skimming through the pages. While the majority is about him, it premises around his mother's life and death which have ultimately shaped him. She's no ordinary mother that's a fact.
From being a pyromaniac as a child, a teen male prostitute to telephone salesman, Stanhope has had an interesting life mixed in with drugs, alcohol, women and stand up comedy. And while you do think he's a bit of a so-and-so, it's still very funny. A great listen.
