Sara is determined to get justice for a patient who dies in A&E on her shift. With her dying breath, Dani Cooper tells Sara she has been raped. Three years later, Sara is testifying as an expert witness at the trial of Tommy McAllister - the man accused of raping Dani, and the child of a couple who Sara knew from her residency days.
Will and his partner Faith, end up re-investigating Sara’s case, along with a number of others, finding links between them. All of this is done without their boss’s knowledge - which is very brave of them. She’s formidable!
There are graphic descriptions of rape, domestic violence and it’s aftermath, and can be quite stomach churning at times - but it’s such a fast-moving read with such excellent characters, that I didn’t want to put it down. It’s a really emotional read, too.
If you’re a fan of this series, you will not be disappointed!

Sixteen-year-old Annaya Roth is fighting for her life to fit
in at yet another new school—and to escape the Dead.
Annaya and her mother, Samantha, just moved to the small
mountain town of Asherville. The people there are nice enough. They smile and
wave—but Annaya knows to not get too close.
Samantha is tired of running. She just wants to keep her
daughter safe. So, in one last desperate attempt to save Annaya—Samantha moves
them to the one place she never wanted to step foot in again.
This was certainly an interesting read and a little chaotic. It’s gruesome in parts and I really loved that the author wasn’t afraid to be graphic. A few time I felt down right sorry for this girl at 16 her life goes from one disaster to another. The dead really like her to know they are around.

That's the basis for this film, which - indeed - at one point was event o be called 'Flashpoint'.
There's another one where Superman's pod arrives in Russia rather than the USA, and where he is experimented on and brought up by the Soviets.
Superman: Red Son.
There's elements of that in this too.
As - potentially - the last film in the current DCEU, this stars Ezra Miller's version of The Flash, alongside cameos from other DCEU characters and actors, and also - due the the 'multiversal' nature of the proceedings - makes no secret of the fact that it brings Michael Keeton's version of Batman into the fold. He's probably the best bit.
It's also rather surreal in parts - the term 'baby shower' takes on a whole new meaning - with Miller, IMO, not as good at embodying the role as Grant Gustin's version from TV.
That, I guess, is probably just a matter of taste ...

THE FAMILY THAT DECAYS TOGETHER, STAYS TOGETHER
On a hot summer weekend in San Antonio, Texas, a father and son bond after discovering three impossible corpses buried in their back yard.
This book had me thinking about it even when I wasn’t reading it, to the point I’ve talked my husband into reading it and he doesn’t read. I’ve given it the full 5 stars simply because my god this had me never wanting to dig up the garden and to never watch the Simpsons again in the same way. The writing was so good it had my skin itching and crawling, I now have a new phobia decomposing while alive. It’s super graphic but put in a way that you actually feel it happening to this family. So entertaining but don’t read while eating or if you have a weak stomach!!
