"I was in a unique position to be influenced by this book because my parents published it when I was in my twenties (long before Marielle Heller made it into a great movie). It is the most graphic of all the graphic novels I own — and all from the point of view of a teenage girl."

This book, published in 1978, is considered the first modern graphic novel, and it certainly helped spawn the genre. Its storytelling and depth proved this genre has always had far more potential than the fare we see today. Looking for a new dark horror series of graphic novel. Something along the lines of Locke & Key but am open to any suggestions.
