"I love this picture because it showed me at a very young age the scope an animated movie could have. It also inspired me to look deeper into this genre and the different filmmakers working in it. I loved the graphic novels and it was the first time I saw a comic book translated to the big screen. It unspooled at a second run by my house and I saw it a TON of times. I also believe this is why I own a red Japanese motorcycle that goes really really fast. AKIRA HUUUUH?!"

This wasn't my kind of erotica. I prefer the less graphic wording and for come to spelt "come" instead of "cum", trivial I know but a pet peeve of mine.

Strangely I quite liked the plotline, as ludicrous as it was, I just didn't gel with the characters and their actions. They just seemed to run away or get pissed off for no real reason.

As tempted as I am to continue the series, despite my low rating, I won't be continuing it.

Not for me.

Better than Dawson's novel (0 more)
This graphic novel was published during the hype leading up to TLJ. Of course, Phasma's part ended up being anti-climactic and trash.
This picks up right after TFA, and Phasma's quest to hunt down the First Order officer that gave information to the Resistance so they could blow up Starkiller. Obviously, it was Phasma that did it, but she's on a quest to pin it on someone else.
Other than demonstrating Phasma's ruthlessness, there was no real additional information given about her character.

Menace II Society (1993)
Menace II Society (1993)
1993 | Action, Drama
The Hughes brothers make quite an impactful debut with this realistically powerful and violently graphic story.
I found similarities between this and Carlito's Way in that it's a story about changing one's life no matter how bad it was before things get out of hand and time runs out for you.
The gang violence is excessive and the story line shows that growing up in this environment makes it very difficult to escape from.
It's one of the better gang related movies alongside Boyz n The Hood and has a strong message.
