I really enjoyed reading this book. It was hilarious, it made me think, especially when it came to the chapter about hair and the angry black woman myth. It was insightful, funny, interesting and a nice delve into someone else's mind who seems to enjoy TV, celebrities and movies as much as I do. I'm going to be honest, I didn't know who Phoebe Robinson before reading this book and I feel ashamed to say that now, but I definitely know who she is now. She's someone not afraid to speak her "troof" (inside joke), which is something that not everyone is able and willing to do in this day and age. If you're looking for a great read into the mind of a black woman who just happens to also be a comedian, pick up a copy today. You won't be disappointed!!

Every Day a Bad Hair Day
Hammer horror from the studio's imperial phase, with the period setting and star names (Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing) that might lead one to expect something quite distinguished. However, the premise is such an odd one - a monster from Greek mythology is lurking in German-occupied Europe, petrifying the unwary - that the film-makers really struggle to know what to do with it, settling in the end for a story structure partly knocked off from the less interesting kind of werewolf movie.

Well-directed in parts, with some good imagery and set piece scenes, but the movie struggles to give the cast the material they deserve and the meandering and repetitive storyline can only charitably be described as a plot. All a bit bleak and cheerless; inevitably comes across as slightly misogynistic too.

Tzolk'in: The Mayan Calendar review
How angsty are you about corn, usually? Pretty relaxed? Easygoing about corn, for the most part? Probably if a friend asked you "how's corn?" you'd respond that it's not a concern. You're doing pretty great.

Prepare to have your world turned upside-down. Tzolk'in: The Mayan Calendar is an incredible board game about managing Mayan tribes. Yes, the board looks properly Byzantine, and it's true that we're not in Monopoly territory any more. Granny need not be invited. The brother of yours who played Timesplitters once? Tell him you're washing your hair. Because you might need this in your life. If you have anything resembling an attention span, to play Tzolk'in is to have no doubt about its brilliance.

Snapchat started really well. I could sit for ages flicking through filters but after a while you get bored of coloured hair and cat ears which are the main focus.
My daughters auntie often uses it on her. Again it was cute for 5 minutes.
The strange thing is I still flick through in the hope I will find something unusual. I did.
The male version of me looks eerily like a pupil I once taught. **shivers.
Oh and another thing. I don't know how typical this is but I don't use the 'chat' part of the app much. I just use it myself if I share the photo it's usually by downloading to camera and upload to Facebook..

Feel Goof Fun
Yaaaaaas Queen! Such a lovely program. Every episode, the Fab Five take a person (gay, strait, undecided, it don matter!) And give them a makeover. But this is not just any makeover, they cover hair, clothes, home, diet and emotions. Each member if the 5 is in charge of a different element, and they get to the rout of the person's issues, address them, and work with them to turn their life around.
These are usually people who have been through it, who have been sposered by family or friends who want to help.
They seem to care so much, realy take care of them, and have fun with it!
This was my go to program while I had the pregnancy blues, and I found it so uplifting, though I did tear up on occasion.
Love love LOVE it!
