BookCritics (259 KP) rated The Refugees in Books
May 16, 2017
The one word that comes to mind through all these stories is haunting, which brings it all back to the two statements at the beginning of the book. Based on that, I will be adding The Sympathizer to my reading list.

Movie Critics (823 KP) rated A Ghost Story (2017) in Movies

A Ghost Story is an excellent movie. It’s haunting, gripping and perhaps, even creepier than you can possibly imagine. The way the film is shot will keep you focused on it throughout.

Autumn (3 KP) rated Faithful Place (Dublin Murder Squad, #3) in Books

i love tana french. she's a wonderful author and she's only getting better.
Faithful Place got to me in a way that In the Woods and The Likeness didn't. they were both compelling and great but this... this was something special. haunting, personal, painful and with a smattering of dysfunctional.
fair play to you, ms. french.

Better than the first
This album is beautiful. The haunting, eerie vocals paired with the almost mystic indie rock creates a truly original sound from Wolf Alice. The difference between tracks like St Purple and Green and Yuk Foo is astounding how they can be collected together in the same album and still be such an amazing sound.

Just finished watching is it any good it's okay I prefer the Enfield haunting the second film over this one. Both the leads carry the movie well. There are some good jump scares but after three conjuring movies it's kinda getting repetitive maybe it's time to rest the franchise but still its decent horror movie

Beautiful and haunting
A well written story set in the 1400's, recounted by Samuel, the court jester. Samuel is likeable, fun and it's heartwarming to see him learn a new skill that helps him to follow a dream.
Being a jester has its advantages, not only did it gain him favour with the King, leading to working in the castle but it earned him the trust and confidence of many. With this trust he's able to weave a rich tapestry of stories together, tales of love and hope, hardships and tragedy.
A truly beautiful, heartwarming and haunting read that gives you food for thought.
I would definitely recommend this for the romantic reader, the reader that enjoys a historical background and anyone that is in a book group - it's an absolute must!
