I received a copy of A Deadly Feast from Netgalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

Hayley is excited about her upcoming wedding when a woman tragically dies on a food tour. She also has to worry about her broken down future houseboat and her future husband's career.

It's a lot. But thankfully, not too much. Hayley wants to clear the name of a chef and goes about doing so.

I really, really liked Miss Gloria

Tensions are building all over Key West with restaurant wars and a string of burglaries. However, it’s the fight over the Sunset Celebration lease that erupts in murder when Bart Frontgate is found dead. The police are looking at Hayley Snow’s friend Lorenzo, a man she knows couldn’t have committed the crime. But Lorenzo is hiding something. Can Hayley clear him, or will his secret convict him for murder?

I have completely fallen in love with Key West thanks to these books, and it was wonderful to visit again. The characters are strong, with Hayley showing some growth and Miss Gloria as delightful as ever. The plot is strong, combining several storylines into a cohesive and entertaining whole, although I do wish we didn’t have the constant Hayley is afraid for her job sub-plot.

NOTE: I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Howards End | Official Trailer | STARZ

Official trailer for the STARZ Original Limited Series, Howards End. A fresh adaptation of a beloved tale of two sisters, as they navigate through life and love. Stars Hayley Atwell, Philippa Coulthard, Matthew Macfadyen & Tracey Ullman.

Hayley is trying to get a job at the new magazine in Key West as a food critic. This is despite the fact that she found the magazine's owner in bed with Hayley's boyfriend. But when the owner is killed, Hayley finds herself the chief suspect in the murder.

Since I liked the most recent one when I read it a couple months ago, I thought I'd go back and start at the beginning. Hayley seems to have more flaws here than in the later book, although I still loved her. The story was a little slow to get going as well, but I got hooked in the second half. A good start to a fun series.

NOTE: I was sent this book in exchange for my honest review.

Thanksgiving Wedding Bells
Hayley Snow’s wedding is just a few days away, and her list of things to do is long, as you’d expect. She’s got family coming in from out of town, Thanksgiving the day before, and contractors to get working on the houseboat she wants to move into soon after she gets married. So the last thing she needs to do is find herself embroiled in a mystery. But when a woman on a seafood tour Hayley is covering for work drops dead, Hayley is asked by the friend who owns the company to find out what happened. Can Hayley squeeze that into her busy week?

As you can see, there is plenty happening here, and I found the pages turning quickly. Unfortunately, I felt the mystery suffered as a result. It was often buried in everything else going on, and the resolution was rushed as a result. But I do love these characters, and getting to spend time with them is wonderful as always. I enjoyed getting to see a different side of a couple and have others return. Thanks to these books, I’ve fallen in love with Key West, so it was fantastic to get to visit again. It was a much-needed mini vacation. There are nine new recipes for us to try; personally, I’m most intrigued by the pumpkin pie recipe. While newcomers to the series won’t be as charmed with this outing, longtime fans will be happy to visit Hayley again here.
