Rick Nielsen recommended Pulp Fiction (1994) in Movies (curated)

"My third film I want to say is highly recommended — and I’m sure many people have seen all these films, but I’m gonna tell you why — is Pulp Fiction. Pulp Fiction was the first film to me that had a descrambling formula of storytelling, accompanied with the power of perfect dialogue. This moved me artistically. I remember watching this film for the first time in the movie theater, and seeing the character get killed, and then seeing the character come back… He was my favorite character, right? It was John Travolta; at the time, I’m a big John Travolta fan, and Sam Jackson was just breaking out on the scene, but I loved him in the movie as well. But to see the story go into its own twists and turns really resonated with me as an artist and kind of related to the way that hip hop tells our hip hop stories. That’s why I suggest that movie. It descrambled the formula of Hollywood storytelling."

Weird but addictive
I didn't realise this was the group that did "stressed out" which i like a lot. The words don't always seem to make sense but that's party of the weirdly addictive effect it has. The "melody" is catchy and the mixture of different styles of music, from hip hop, rock and pop, to reggae, rap and indie music. It just makes it more interesting.

Gr888’ tells an interesting tale of a young guy who believes being him should be a crime.

Apparently, he’s a cash addict who knows his self-worth. Therefore, he uses logic when addressing a desirable female he’s interested in being with.
‘Gr888’ contains a relatable storyline, harmonious rap vocals, and melodic instrumentation flavored with hip-hop and urban trap elements.

Also, the likable tune is featured on yksopretty’s latest EP, entitled, “888”.

Rolling Stone's 153rd greatest album of all time
Superb hip hop album. I was pleasantly surprised to find out Q-Tip was in ATCQ, having loved his contribution to the Beastie Boys' Ill Communication album and appearances on a range of other artists' albums.
This was a great listen overall, particularly Scenario (my daughter loves Pitch Perfect and the start of this song is briefly sung by Fat Amy in one of the song battles).
