"I enjoy reading epic stories from ancient history and in recent years have been reading abridged versions aloud to my kids. This epic poem was found on a series of ancient tablets from Mesopotamia written down over 4,000 years ago, and involves the central character Gilgamesh, an excessive and oppressive leader, and his arduous journey in pursuit of the secrets of immortality. His character evolves through his personal voyage towards accepting death, and you encounter so many tales that you recognize from history."

Huh.

Owen, Owen, Owen...

I enjoyed this one, learning more about Owen's history with Kincaid and how he grew up. What I wasn't so fond of was Salina and her history with him. I swear, if she'd managed to steal him away from Gin I may have stopped reading this series in anger. But all worked out well-ish.

I can't wait to read the next one! And if things don't work out then my last status update stands true.

My Mother's Quilt is a sweet and thoughtful book. It sure to tell you about each quilt and tells you the story behind each one. Not only that, the author puts it in where you learn her family history as you read it. Each quilt tells about each crafter and her life and its only story. It passed down from generation to generation.

It's a Nonfiction story to me. You also learn about faith and family history and learn a lot about how hard it is to create a quilt. The author wanted to tell you about the family history, though quilts and how it helped with life and shaping each family member and their family through each quilt.

This book is best for quilters and fans that enjoy learning about quilts.
