For the second time in the award’s 12-year history, all five nominees are female, and three are women of colour — a notable accomplishment in a literary landscape where the major prizes continue to be dominated by white men.

5 Under 35 is an annual prize that honours five young and promising fiction writers, each selected by a National Book Award Winner or Finalist.

Great movie
This movie was so much better then I thought it would be! It had me emotional involved and will appeal to those who enjoy their romances delivered with a touch of history, and a little magical realism.

While a bit of background fluff, this book was so much fun to read. A thoughtful, well constructed, well put together slice of Time Lord history (and all the inconsistencies that sentence entails.) For a fuller review, see www.travelingthevortex.com

Bad Boys for Life.
Love the chemistry between Martin Lawrence and Will Smith. You get the sense theres an actual history between the characters.
It's full of laughs, suspense, thrills, sexiness and action.
Definitely recommend watching!

Obviously not novels, the Sharpe Companion books are interesting reading for anyone with a passing interest in the napoleonic wars. They're probably not going to help you pass any history degree, but are great for for a light diversion.

A look at the social history around the time of Jane Austen. The book uses Austen's life and letters, but also diaries and letters of a group of other, non-famous people to illuminate different aspects of the period.
