SIN is the first book in the Salvation series, and we meet Sin, Cassidy, Mercer, and others for the first time.
Sin is the son of Gideon and has been plotting his 'father's' downfall for years. This includes ensuring no one gets close to him other than Mercer, so they don't get hurt or become a target. This becomes a problem when Gideon marries Sheila, and her son, Cassidy, is brought into the fold. Cassidy is two years younger than Sin, and something about him immediately puts Sin into protection mode, even if it means sending Cassidy far away, out of his father's reach. Of course, something was going to happen, and Cassidy is brought home when Sin least expects it, throwing his plans into the air.
What a brilliant story! I loved how Cassidy and Sin's relationship evolved, even against Sin's wishes. Gideon is a real piece of work and deserved everything that came his way. I also thought Mercer was brilliant, especially his comments to Cassidy on his birthday. His story is next and I can't wait. I also hope we see more of Cassidy and Sin!
The epilogue was perfect, wrapping up their story nicely while leaving me wanting more, simply because I'm greedy. A great smoothly paced read, and HIGHLY RECOMMENDED by me.

NURSING THE ALPHA is a standalone story that I really hope expands into a series. It tells the story of Flynn, who was a surrogate for friends, but they decided they wanted a clean break from him so there wouldn't be mixed feelings. Which was great (!) but left him lactating, which most alphas dislike. So he helped out as a wet nurse for premature babies. He meets Seth one night as he's on his way home, literally falling into his lap. He has a little leakage though, and although one alpha turns away in disgust, Seth steps up and rescues him. Seth thinks Flynn is sweet and innocent. Little does he know...
Oh, but I loved this story. It is both sweet and smutty, innocent and filthy, and I am here for it! The reactions on both sides to certain situations were spot on and completely believable. I loved how Flynn's freaky side came out to play, and how he made Seth pay for lying to him. But most of all, I loved how they were together. So hot and it was caring, even when they indulged in primal play.
I love this author's Daddy books, and now it seems as though I love her omegaverse too! Loved every yummy moment and HIGHLY RECOMMENDED by me.

Oh, but I loved this story. It is both sweet and smutty, innocent and filthy, and I am here for it! The reactions on both sides to certain situations were spot on and completely believable. I loved how Flynn's freaky side came out to play, and how he made Seth pay for lying to him. But most of all, I loved how they were together. So hot and it was caring, even when they indulged in primal play.
I love this author's Daddy books, and now it seems as though I love her omegaverse too! Loved every yummy moment and HIGHLY RECOMMENDED by me.

Totally captivating and addictive read. I loved this book! There are two storylines. One routed in the past about a brutally raped and murdered school girl and her young killers as they face trial and juvenile detention. One in the present, a missing school girl, Shannon, baring all the similarities of the case from the past - or so it seems.
There are a lot of characters introduced and it ca be a bit overwhelming but persevere as the novel is one worth reading.
The plot is very well written in my opinion and it does flow well. The main characters are well written and enjoy them.
Very compelling and suspenseful read.
I look forward to more in the series as it develops and hope to get more backstory on the detective.

The thing is, it is her former boyfriend whom Caroline thought to be dead that is her rescuer. How will this affect her marriage? Will she ever get home to her family and children?
This is a fast-paced novel that will keep the reader on the edge until the very end. Pamela Poole writes her books that will make the reader think. Always full of valuable lessons for all of us to consider. I enjoyed meeting new characters and of course meeting up with some old ones. This book is seventh in Kerrigan series, but it was my first encounter with Jane Casey’s work, and I definitely will be reading some more of her books. The blurb above describes this book quite accurate, Chloe comes back home and finds her home full of blood and her mother missing. DI Maeve starts the investigation, and more she digs in, more loose ends she gets.
This novel offers a wide variety of characters to choose from, but main characters are Maeve and Josh. The whole story was told from DI Maeve Kerrigan’s perspective, maybe that’s why characters felt not fully explored. I would’ve liked to read different perspectives of the investigation, I think that would’ve allowed understanding characters better and would’ve made the whole book more appealing. I really liked Josh Derwent’s character, and I think Maeve was missing some qualities, like the ability to fight well or great insight into the issues, to be the main lead in this book. On the other hand, the lack of those abilities made her more relatable and believable.
What I really enjoyed, was the narrative of this novel. The investigation was riveting, with a steady flow of twists and turns, which kept me intrigued and the suspense going, and I couldn’t wait to find out, what will happen next. I really loved, that almost in every chapter, the author very smartly revealed some new clues, and constantly kept the action going not to bore the reader, and that steady built up suspense was a great transition between the chapters. I really liked the way the author portrayed police work in this book; it was not over the top and was really believable. Being a Londoner, author portrayed the places and atmosphere really accurately, and for me, it was a real pleasure to read it.
The writing style used in this novel is easy to read and the language used was not complicated, with decent chapter length which didn’t make the book boring. The ending of the book had a great new twist, and left me confused and intrigued all over again. So, to conclude, this book had an exciting plot with lots of twists and turns along the way and I quite enjoyed it, I hope you will too.

so bloody sweet, but GOOD!

This book, this just shy of 200 pages?? So bloody sweet, I broke a tooth!
I mean it's so bloody good, so cute, warm and fuzzies too!
Ash is left, quite literally, holding the baby, and the idiot banging on his door at 3am is gonna get it if he wakes Mia up! Sean comes to rescue his friend, who just moved in next door to Ash, and is smitten, immediately, and totally with Ash, but equally, with Mia. Once Sean knows Ash is single, he wages an all out war to make him see that just because he has a baby, he doesn't have to be a monk.
Like I said, so bloody good!
Both Ash and Sean have a say, in the first person. Both voices are clearly headed, and happen as the chapter changes. Both men's voices are well defined and they tell their story well. I loved the marked differences between them too.
Ash is trying, bless him, to be the best dad he can, and is a little overwhelmed by that new dad feeling, especially now he bought Mia home, and he is alone. He thinks he won't have a life til she leaves home, and holds steadfast to that, till Sean makes him see that he doesn't need to give up on life. Ash's sister will help, his mother is a bit on the dodgy side. Their relationship is rocky at the best of times, but she tries to make amends here, she really does.
Eric and Leo are Sean best friends and house mates. Sean is an Emergency Room doctor; Eric, a fireman and Leo is a cop. They three guys are great together, and once Sean admits Ash is HIS, they look out for Ash and Mia.
There are some characters who hint at their stories, Eric and Leo included, and I can't wait to meet Brady properly: he has some tale to tell, I'm sure!
This is the first full length book I've read of Scott's that was just written by her. I've read the Owattonna U Hockey series she wrote with VL Locey. I want to read more. I really enjoyed this!
