Stormi (105 KP) rated Grey's Anatomy - Season 13 in TV
Apr 20, 2018
I can't rate this show based on one season. I just can't. This show is one I have watched from day 1. It has tore me up and made me laugh. I have been there in every happy moment and every heart wrenching, bawl your eyes out moment. This show will always be my absolute favorite TV show. It has gone on for so long and I hope it keeps going. The characters come and go, but still I am a true fan and I will be there till the end (which I hope is NEVER ?). If you want a drama that will keep you gripped in its soul stealing clutches this is the show. But start at the beginning. This show means so much more now, but you need the history.

Samantha Reece (16 KP) rated The Dragons Of Sin City Box Set (Dragons of Sin City, #1-3) in Books
Nov 14, 2018
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I loved all three of the books in this box set!
The men: Cade, Noah, and Grant are all alpha (dragon) males, and I loved them all. Cade was my favorite. He is very protective and exciting. The women: Hope, Claire, and Freya are all independent women. My favorite was Hope. Maybe because her story is with Cade!
Ridley did a great job on character and world-building. All three books flowed together well, and it was easy to fall into reading and envision her words.
I would recommend this box set to paranormal lovers. Especially if you love dragon shifters! All in all, these books are exciting and worth the read.

James Koppert (2698 KP) rated Where the World Ends in Books
Nov 3, 2019 (Updated Nov 3, 2019)
McCaughrean does an incredible job here. She heard a true story of a group of boys and men in the 1800s who go to a 'stack' to farm birds. The stack is a juttering jagged rock rising from the cold Scottish seas, a nasty place to be, so they plan to stay for a few days and then they hope to be collected. Although they weren't. McCaughrean then tried to imagine what happened to them next and what we get is an incredible well imagined narrative of hardship and survival filled with hope and love and triumph and turmoil. One of those novels which gives you a piece of history which was unknown and hard to imagine and at the same time makes you ask yourself what you would do in the same situation.

Kirk Bage (1775 KP) rated Little Miss Sunshine (2006) in Movies
Mar 3, 2020
A stunning film of disfunction and family values, where every character has a different quirk contributing to failure and unhappiness, brought together by young Olive, who just wants her moment in the spotlight. A pithy commentary on America in the early 21st Century, that relies on pathos and and a very modern sense of individuality to mine its comedy. A sequence of powerful monologues and a road trip that always looks like failing; the pay-off in Little Miss Sunshine is seeing the value of hope against all odds. Even when that hope is hinged on something ultimately so trivial. It makes me laugh and yearn for them to “win” so much! And the coup de grace is the way they win and come back together. Forgiveness x innocence = Joy.

Independent Reviewer for Archaeolibrarian - I Dig Good Books!
This is the second book in the Deathly Beloved series and I absolutely love it! There are so many emotions whirling around that I felt like I was on a roller coaster.
I have fallen in love with the main characters. I really hope that Richard and Arienna have a smooth-ish ride from here on out (probably not too smooth as she does enjoy her punishments!) I also highly hope Jace gets the love he deserves and can work through his feelings that he has bottled up inside!
I really can't rate this series high enough. Miranda is a fantastic writer in whatever she turns her hand to!
I'm ready for the next one Miranda!
