I truly Enjoyed this captivating story!!
This is my first book by James R. Hannibal, and I hope that it is not my last one. I put him on par with DiAnn Mills and Lynette Eason in the mystery and suspense genre. Chasing the White Lion is the second book in his Clandestine Service Series, it can be read as a standalone. However, I have the first book on order already

"I would say that’s the first quintessential coming-of-age movie. It felt so real, and it just captured the freedom, danger, fear, hope, and everything that comes with being a kid. It’s one of the best movies ever made. It was such a shock to the world when it came out, too, and it was, like, “Oh, wow. You can make movies like this?” It stands up, too."

"This book has the virtue of being the most perfect novel ever written. It manages to blend the miniature world of an uninteresting town with a profound reckoning with the human heart in all its vagaries. Here we find courage, pettiness, self-deception, love, profundity, triviality, sadness, joy, munificence, greed, theatricality, restraint, wit, pomposity, despair, hope. It’s seductively readable, free of pretension, and written with a rare clear-eyed kindness."

(more like a 4.5) justin a reynolds just writes how I think and I'm in love with his mind and his stories and his characters and I will purchase and love his work time and time and time again. I have nothing else to say. This book broke me into a thousand little pieces but it was so full of love and hope and joy at the same time.

"Found my Dad’s old copy in the basement when I was in seventh grade. I’ve read it many times since. It’s always a pleasure spending a few days learning from brother Malcolm. You can feel the depth of his care and his sincere hope for your survival in every page. If he wasn’t a friend and a hero before you started reading, you’ll have to make some room for him."
