Similar to his earlier book 'The Rest of Us Just Live Here', Patrick Ness switches betweens a main narrative and a parallel narrative within the same world, with an unexpected cross between the two at the end. I brought this book and finished it the day after, an easy read but one full of very real characters battling with homophobia and the inevitability of growing up and change. With this book I only hope more diverse LGBTQIA+ representation occurs throughout literature.

Initially, I really loved this film. I loved the nostalgia, and the fact that the original trio was brought back. I liked the new characters, and how everything came together. The opening scene was probably one of my favorites out of the film. The new trio had perfect casting, but I do think The Last Jedi ruined it a bit.
Then I realized I liked it so much because it mirrored A New Hope. Episode 4 is my favorite Star Wars film. Yes, it works, but Ep 4 does it better.
Anyway, I'm just glad this trilogy is being given back to Abrams to fix.

Wow. Just wow. What a story. This reminded me heavily of The Lovely Bones. The stories bore some similarities. I liked how the book was referenced in the story (pay attention or you’ll miss it).

The story moved along well. I personally had the plot figured out mid book but then again I watch hours and hours of criminal programs so I’m kind of an armchair expert haha.

I enjoyed the fact it jumped from perspective. It gave personality to the story.

The loss of a child. Unanswered questions. A runaway? Murder? Kidnapping? Hope. Heartbreak. Betrayal. Guilt. This story has a plethora of emotions. Definitely a must read.

Better than Lord of the Rings
I read this when I was a child. It was the first proper book I ever reviewed. I loved it. I listened to it on Audio which was ok. Ive seen the cartoon film and I loved the most recent films. The book is still the best. Reading it as a child, I could conjure up vivid images and hear them speak in my mind. I went adventuring along with them, and felt what they felt. It was written for children but still inspires me as an adult. It's a fantasy tale of heroism and hope against the odds. It's definately worth reading.

Fyre (2019)

Since I'm home, sick with the flu, I decided to watch both Fyre Festival documentaries.
This was the one I watched first, and it focused more on the setup of the festival itself. It was kind of amazing to watch the clusterf*** from the inside, and it was kind of humorous. It was interesting, and a complete train wreck. I really hope that d-bag that was in charge of it didn't profit from it at all, because that'd be really messed up.
I do find it hard to sympathize with all of the rich kids and ridiculous 'influencers'. If it seems too good to be true, it is.

I have to say, this was bloody awesome! The style was there, the characters, the vibe, it all felt like Angel. Season eight of Buffy feels a bit 'out there' as far as the plot goes but this actually is a continuation of the series, and even though it didn't start right where the show (and action) left off (although, I think volume two of After the Fall does), it did a great job getting back into a groove. Not to mention the artwork is fabulous and the whole look of the book is beautiful. Great job, I hope the others in the series hold up as well.

I rate this with a 3 since there aren't any half ratings ...this is more a 3.5 star review. I was both happy and sad with this book. Sad, because unlike with the BDB, I wasn't instantly sucked into the story line. It took me a long time to get into the story and really feel apart of it. That said, the characters were intriguing and definitely full of emotion that I could feel. I hope that the next book in Ward's Bourbon Kings series is easier to get into.

Mesmerizing Imagery
An Artistic Masterpiece
The imagery created in this film was nothing short of a masterpiece. The fractured world took on a whole new world of its own as this spiralling piece came together. The film was executed to perfection, nothing short of any film that Cumberbatch has been in, however as much of a fan as I am I cannot begin to see the correlation in his character roles throughout all of his films. Although he is much beloved to me as an actor I watch and hope to find some new angle or twist that he brings to his next role.

Reworking of the classic movie of the same name
Excellent reworking of the film of the same name all the leads are excellent and comedy legends. The scripting is on par with the film and episode seven is directed by the director of the film and manages to get some excellent guest stars in the episode that is a nice touch.
At round-a-bout twenty five minutes an episode it doesn't out stay its welcome. It's another comedy classic and I hope it gets renewed for another season.

I absolutely adored this book. I wanted to read it every minute of the day so couldn't wait for my train rides home from work to sit down and get to read what happens next.
Loved the way it was set out, made the book 10 times more interesting to read and really gave it that certain uniqueness to make the book excellent.

I felt as though the plot almost faltered in the middle, it seems some pieces of the story were left to dangle in mid air, but everything became resolved in the shock ending.

I hope Edgar Cantero has plenty more excellent books like this to come!
