Drag Me to Hell (2009)
Drag Me to Hell (2009)
2009 | Comedy, Horror
Original, gruesome and fun!
Director Sam Raimi returns to his horror roots with this awesome flick about a female bank loan officer who has to show some backbone to get promoted and pisses off the wrong old lady.

Without saying too much, you will never predict where the film goes and the unusual circumstances the protagonist heroine finds herself in.

I was skeptical, but this movie rocks.

Please check it out.!

The kills are a bit gorier than the original and Jennifer Love Hewitt's wardrobe is allot skimpier ,but other than that there is little to recommend in this bland and pedestrian sequel. The very definition of a lazy cliched slasher movie that is chock full of irritating new characters you long to be killed off (Mekhi Pfieffer, Brandy and dreadlocked stoner Jack Black) and plot holes and ridiculous twists. So many better horror movies out there worth watching instead.

Catitlin custer
Watched on shudder rather entertaining anthology with enough twists and turns especially the forth tale which had a twist even I didn't see coming. Anyway clancy brown gives a creepy performance as the mortician and boy does he look creepy also stand out is catitlin custer as his guest who's come for job but has a tale of her own to tell. Overall rather good horror movie definitely one to watch again

Parasite (2019)
2019 | Drama

"“Parasite” starts as a novel of manners that relentlessly metamorphoses into a black comedy, ghost story, psychological thriller, horror movie, and ends in an unexpected but inevitable tragedy. It was a unanimous Palme d’Or winner at the Cannes Film Festival this year and I will never forget the faces and enthusiasm of all the jury members after we had the privilege to see it being presented to the world for the first time at the Palais…"

Don't Look Now (1973)
Don't Look Now (1973)
1973 | Drama, Horror, Thriller

"One of the scariest, most pessimistic modern horror movies, dressed as a romance. Roeg never had the elements come together the way they do here. Pino Donaggio’s score is unforgettably lush, and a reminder of how vital a collaborator movie music is. Christie and Sutherland are chic in deserted Venice. One of the most shocking climaxes ever—dread-filled and bloody. One of Paramount’s big Christmas films of 1973—today you can only marvel at that."

Incredible attention to detail including the dialect, costumes and traditional folklore (3 more)
The best child acting I've ever seen in a movie
If you like folklore and traditional tales then this is very accurate to the records
Black Philip
Advertised as a film with plenty of action and jumpscares (2 more)
Uninteresting to those who don't care for tension or history
A fairly controversial ending which divides audiences
A truly unique and engrossing horror for REAL fans of the genre!

Couldn't disagree more on this one of the worst films I've seen in ages. Especially after all the hype around it.

Camp stalk and slash with a twist
Tonight's viewing was this little gem with a really cool new premise. Guy wakes up covered in blood surrounded by dead camp counsellors and with the help of his horror geek friend periodically pieces together the events of the night and slowly realises that he might have actually caused the deaths. Really great idea and some really good gory deaths including one chopped in half head and possibly one of the best horror movie masks ever. Had some pacing issues and my attention started to drift about two thirds in but came together with a good ending. So all in all well worth a watch.

The Nun (2018)
The Nun (2018)
2018 | Horror
The Nun (2018) shows exactly how you go about kicking off a dark cinematic universe. #Review
While it packs in plenty of atmosphere and creeping dread, apart from a few well-contrived jump scares, it’s not – it has to be said – particularly scary. There’s a great build-up to the very first night spent at the convent but from there it escalates so quickly and so unequivocally supernaturally that our heroes’ decision to remain and investigate without reinforcements is simply absurd. But it’s in that absurdity that “The Nun” reveals its true essence. Not as a bone-chilling, nerve-shredding terrifying horror movie but in a spooky, swashbuckling adventure horror in the mould of 1999’s “The Mummy”. FULL REVIEW: http://bit.ly/CraggusTheNun
