Kate and her family live at the Harrison Lodge, a hotel that has been in her family for generations. Together with her two older sister, Olivia and Alyssa; her mother Janet; her grandparents, Donna and Daniel; and her great grandmother, Pearl, Kate helps where she can around the lodge, but she spends most of her time in different hiding places listening in on her family and guests. When Kate discovers someone who is in need of her help, she doesn't hesitate to provide her assistance which helps to bring back the original purpose of the lodge. But when this stranger brings trouble to the only home Kate has ever known, will the hiding places be enough to keep them all safe.

I received a copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. This is the first book I have read by Erin Healy and I'm excited to read more by her. This book kept me on the edge of my seat. I enjoyed that there was a child as the main character. Not because of the situation that they were involved in, but it showed strength and commitment to a character you may not always associate these traits with.

This is another book that was hard to put down. I got upset when I fell asleep or had other things I had to get done that would tear me away from the book. I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a book that will hold your attention throughout its entirety.

Tia Louise knocked the socks right off my feet with this book. I had no idea what to expect when I started reading this book from a brand new author. I began reading and as I turned those wonderfully digital pages I knew I was falling in love with her characters and her book.

This book starts with a girls week-long spa retreat to forget a tragic past, and what Melissa gets is SO much more. Melissa meets a very handsome stranger at the bar on her first night at the hotel, Derek. She is instantly attracted to him but not sure why someone who looks the way he does could be attracted to someone like her. She goes along with it, and does the one thing that seems so out of character for her; she has a one night stand. Only Melissa and Derek can't get enough of each other and their one night stand quickly turns into a one week stand.

I loved this book because not only do you get to really know the characters, but you get to see them grow. The book reads so quickly because of the extremely believable characters and the hot and steamy sex scenes.

Derek and Melissa are so intricately well written and their story so exquisitely believe-able. I laughed with them, cried with them, and cheered when it all came back around in the end. This book is un-put-downable, and will have you reading long into the night!

Unsolvable cases

Since former Marine Jack Morgan started Private, it has become the world's most effective investigation firm--sought out by the famous and the powerful to discreetly handle their most intimate problems. Private's investigators are the smartest, the fastest, and the most technologically advanced in the world--and they always uncover the truth.

Impossible murders

When his former lover is found murdered in Jack Morgan's bed, he is instantly the number one suspect. While Jack is under police investigation, the mob strong-arms him into recovering $30 million in stolen pharmaceuticals for them. And the beautiful manager of a luxury hotel chain persuades him to quietly investigate a string of murders at her properties.

The #1 suspect is Jack Morgan

While Jack is fighting for his life, one of his most trusted colleagues threatens to leave Private, and Jack realizes he is confronting the cleverest and most powerful enemies ever. With more action, more intrigue, and more twists than ever before, PRIVATE #1 SUSPECT is James Patterson at his unstoppable best.

My view

Oh that was so much better than the last one. Back in the states with Jack on a murder charge, the mob pulling in favours and a movie star in trouble. It was well written and flowed brilliantly. I do like this series. Jack needs to sort that brother of his out for good soon having Colleen killed was one step to far! I have a strong dislike for Tommy!
