The movie revolves around one hotel room over the case of several decades, from its inaugural tenants, to a chilling scenario on New Year's Eve of the new millennium. A masterpiece from Canada which is a rare find but totally worth it.

Stupid fun to pass the time
Another time filling film for those days when you have nothing else to do, it is childish in places, stoner humour in others and with a dash of toilet humour thrown in...

When terrorists take over a hotel, 3 hapless waiters have to save the day. It is Die Hard for the gamer generation... A parody that is a bit hit and miss but if you just watch it without expectation it's and ok film to kill the time.

"The plot centers on Count Alexander Ilyich Rostov, sentenced by communist authorities, in 1922, to life imprisonment in the Metropol hotel in Moscow, with the warning, “should you ever set foot outside of the Metropol again, you will be shot.” Within the hotel’s walls, Rostov builds around himself a world of great vivacity and charm, aided by a troupe of eccentric characters including two savvy young girls, with the result that the book achieves that thing all writers hope for but rarely accomplish, a magic that transcends the words on the page."
