I cried!
Carrie was a lovely person, a wonderful writer, and the honesty and courage with which she tells this story are commendable! It’s hilarious and self-deprecating humor are both refreshing and depressing. I couldn’t help but feel for her. She will be missed on screen and off. Her willingness to speak so loudly and often about her mental health struggles did SO much for others with similar issues and she rarely is credited for those advancements her frankness gave to the field of mental health study. A haunting read so close to her death.

When you spot a moose outside your window, you might be tempted to offer it a muffin. But what is a muffin without jam? And what might the moose want to do next?
As with all the charming books from this pair, the story is wild and yet plenty of fun. As the connections are made, they actually do make sense even if the end results is wild. There is plenty of humor along the way both from those connections and the wonderful illustrations.

The final book in this middle grade trilogy finds Egg struggling to find a way to bring down his arch nemesis, greedy slave trader Roger Pembroke. With pirates, sea battles, and romantic complications, he'll have his hands full trying to do it.
The series goes out with the same fast action and wonderful characters I've been enjoying the entire way through. The humor scattered throughout helps as well. All three books are highly recommended for kids and adults. Just be sure to read them in order.

This early chapter book is longer than normal for author Mo Willems, but it still holds all of his charm and bits of humor. The story is utterly charming for all ages, and the lessons about the power of friendship are great.

one of the best samurai films of all time.
If you've seen a fistful of dollars, you know the plot, but this is the original, and it's still the best version of the story. Bruce Willis even tried his hand at it, as a 1920's gangster called Last Man Standing. It's an epic story of one man who wanders into town and finds two sides of the town at war and both are evil. Which means the townsfolk are the biggest losers. He brings clever justice with him. Watch it if you've never done so. It's well worth the time.

Ben Ripley is thrilled to have completed his first semester at spy school and is looking forward to a summer to relax with family and friends. Unfortunately, he has to attend Spy Camp instead. Worse yet, evil organization SPYDER is after him again. Either he will join them or be killed. The action is not stop and we get to know the main characters a little better. Mix in a dose of humor, and you've got a winner that kids and adults will all enjoy.

Fun send up of film noir in pulp literature and los angeles culture in a frozen celluloid time capsule
Set in a decade where the comedy and homages work in todays modern popular culture. This unlikely pair lead the story in an unconventional take on the buddy cop/comedy as they work in opposition to each other to solve a dark crime, with a seedy leadup, all the while surrounded by the city of hollywood and its movie star culture. Something out of the pages of a detective fiction magazine. Post modern film noir in a brighter reflection of itself

A Wild & Fun Adventure For The Whole Family!
This a very creative adaptation of the Jumanji series. This time around, the characters are transported inside the game. The writers did an excellent job of portraying the film as though the characters were actually in a video game universe.
The film is packed full of humor. Especially Jack Black's portrayal of a modern teenage girl trapped in the body of a middle-aged man. There are even some jokes designed for the older audience to get a chuckle, making it not only a good film for the family, but fun for adults as well.

No disassemble Number 5!
I remember when I saw this movie at the theatre in 1986 when it was the 2nd half of a double feature. I don't even remember what the first movie was any more.
I love this movie beyond words. The goofy humor of the robot, his interactions with Ally Sheedy and Steve Guttenberg, and even GW Bailey playing the always bad guy.
Some of the robot's one liners were just precious! "You're mamma was a snowblower!"
Probably one of those 80s movies you had to be alive then to appreciate, but still a classic!

Except for a few tiny laughs and a few nice moments between Robert De Niro and Leslie Mann's characters, this movie is unwatchable and unfunny. The humor (if you can call it that) is scatological and the character is far beneath the talents of Mr. De Niro. The jokes are crude and vulgar and I was embarrassed for him to tell them. This is the worst movie I have seen in a very long time and if I had control of the remote or was able to rouse my roommate who fell asleep with it under him, I'd have changed the channel within seconds. This film is an abomination.
