In short, Demoni AKA Demons, is fucking wild.
For the most part, it's masquerading as a serious horror trip, with the odd burst of humour, and occasional 80s rock anthem thrown in. It subjects the viewer to nasty gore, disturbing practical effects, trippy cinematography, it's overall strangeness complimented by its slightly off dub work. It's uncomfortable in parts, certainly hypnotic in its execution.
All of this, before diving headfirst into schlock territory where a dude slaughters hordes of monsters with a katana whilst riding a motorcycle, as an Accept song blasts in the background. Pretty damn wonderful.

Rightly considered an essential 80s horror, Demons is still an effective movie today. Well worth any horror fan's time.

Album Favorite

"OK, from now on these aren’t in any order. It’s the same with movies: I have my three favourite – Taxi Driver, Blow Out and Rio Bravo – and after that it depends on my mood. This is one of my favourite protest/folk albums. While Dylan was a poet Ochs was a musical journalist: He was a chronicler of his time, filled with humour and compassion. He’d write songs which would seem very black and white, and then , in the last verse, he’d say something which, like, completely shattered you. A song I love very much on this album is ‘Here’s To The State of Mississippi’ – Basically, it’s everything the movie Mississippi Burning should have been."

More and less of the same
Jumanji 2 (or 3 depending on how you look at it) continues where the previous instalment left off.

Bored of the way things are one of the teens decides to return to Jumanji....eventually followed by his friends on a rescue mission, followed by two grumpy, senile old men (Danny devito & danny glover) who's characters not only change the the pace of the movie but add a fresh batch of humour.

The movie was quite solid and was much better than I expected although felt like some plot was missing at times. But plenty of entertainment & laughs.

Funny crime series
A cool lighthearted for the most part Drama series. Quite funny and with a good mix of action. The cast make the show and have great chemistry. Cobie Smulders, Maria Hill in the Avengers films, is a great lead character. She becomes a private eye in Portland after hitting rock bottom. Often getting in to danger or trouble with the police but using her military skills to solve her cases. Her clapped out car often choosing a suitable tune for the current scene with the broken player. A good mix of humour, action, good characters and interesting cases make it a fun series. Roll on season 2.
