I really enjoy Kate Mosse's books, and I always devour them. This book is the start of the new series, and, of course, it takes place in Mosse's favorite area, Carcassonne.
Honestly, the mystery involving Minou was fairly easy to solve, at least for me. I enjoyed the characters and the writing overall.
Now, I just need to find a copy of The City of Tears, the second book in the series. Mosse's books are fairly hard to find here in the USA sometimes, so I'm on the hunt.

3.5 stars.
I can't believe it just ended like that! Of course I now need to go and buy the second one!
It took me a while to get into the story but once it got going I kinda devoured it. I liked the whole Captain Hook isn't so bad and the plotline about him and Peter Pan. I also liked the romance aspect and really want to know what's going to happen next with this note that's been left!
Ugh! Off to hunt it out on Amazon!

3.5 stars.
I got a little lost in the middle but this series is all action, action, action. From pretty much the first page Sara is on a hunt that turns quite entertaining and it didn't stop there.
I am enjoying this series, the whole tarot card thing is different to normal and though I know nothing of it, I'm learning little bits here and there.
Looking forward to reading more of Sara and the Magician, and whatever is currently blooming between them.
Off to start the last book in the trilogy boxset.

I think this is my fourth book by the author and i know she writes some crazy things but i really struggled with this. I didn't get her justification behind the killing of the mafia guy at the beginning. Why not just hit him over the head with something hard and heavy? Why go hunt out the gun hidden in the apartment?
Oh, well. DNF @ 26%
I felt nothing for the characters or the storyline just because i didnt understand her reasoning behind the above incident.
Not for me.

Erika (17789 KP) rated Star Wars: Captain Phasma in Books
Sep 28, 2019
This graphic novel was published during the hype leading up to TLJ. Of course, Phasma's part ended up being anti-climactic and trash.
This picks up right after TFA, and Phasma's quest to hunt down the First Order officer that gave information to the Resistance so they could blow up Starkiller. Obviously, it was Phasma that did it, but she's on a quest to pin it on someone else.
Other than demonstrating Phasma's ruthlessness, there was no real additional information given about her character.
