I found this story quite refreshing after reading a deep and complex novel, and it was what I needed at this time. This is “don’t judge a book by its cover” kind of situation because the cover does not look very appealing, but it does carry an interesting story. I really liked Veronica and Sebastian in this story, they were very realistic and just generally sweet people. I really enjoyed the narrative as well. I liked that the author discussed family issues and grasped a very nice angle to utilise it for this story. I really enjoyed the little surprises which the author had to offer as well. The writing style was pleasant and easy to read, and the ending was very unexpected but completed this story very nicely.
So, to conclude, if you like ghost stories with a hint of romance, do give this story a go, and I hope you will enjoy it as much as I did

Change of style but still a good read.
In this instalment of the story, we hear from both main characters point of view and to begin with, this was quite disconcerting, however, with already having an emotional investment in the characters I carried on and found it really works. A rewrite of book one to also be in the style would be great or the next book making it clearer why the story is told in this way. In this volume I found the ending to be left in a very uncomfortable place, so if you don't like being left hanging, perhaps you should make sure book 3 is next to you before reading this one.
The character's adventures continue here, with the advancement of the back story as well as adding intriguing additional stories which drive the story forward well, keeping me engaged throughout.
I would recommend this as a good read for all. Just remember my warning about the ending.

I am a massive fan of K R Griffiths having read several of his other books so when I heard Greenwater was being released, I didn't hesitate to pre-order it and eagerly awaited its release. I was even sent an advance copy by the author, for which I am grateful, so now I have 2 copies ☺️
Mr Griffiths knows how to write a story and this one is no exception with the added bonus of an unexpected ending. I do have a little gripe in that there is quite a lot of introspection by the characters which, although gave insight into their thought processes and circumstances, I found there was a bit too much which took me away from the action at times. Having said that, Mr Griffiths has a knack of creating characters that get in your head whether you are either rooting for them or you are hoping for their demise to be quick and painful and there are both types in this book although I have to admit that there were more of the latter!
There is rather a lot of gratuitous violence, blood and gore so if you don't like that sort of thing, I wouldn't recommend you read it.
Overall, a pretty good read but not as good as some of Mr Griffiths' other works so I highly recommend you look at his back catalogue and give them a go.

Kara Isaac took my breath away with such a beautiful story. I can't wait to get my hands on her next release coming out in just a few weeks! Filled with so many dynamics, I was biting my nails, laughing out loud, sighing with relief, and at times, even yelling at the book. I have always been a fan of Tolkien and so I found the setting both brilliant and intriguing. This story hit close to home in the fact that I know what it is to be hurt and have a fear of trusting people. It was so encouraging though to watch Allie and Jackson's journey. Cheering them on and hoping they find their healing in Lord along the way. Filled with quotes from Tolkien and random #NerdGirl knowledge, I had so much fun reading Close to You. This is THE book that I chose to read on my way home from Nashville. I think the people on my flights thought I was crazy for the giggling that commenced a couple of times. If you enjoy a good, clean romance, Lord of the Rings, and New Zealand, you will fall head over teakettle for Kara Isaac and Close to You!

I just found Christina Lauren by reading Love and Other Words and had to find another of her books, I'm glad I found this one.
I loved the dynamic between Holland and Collin. It's a crush, it's a ruse, it's love. The characters are easy to relate to and you root for them the entire book. There are some VERY steamy parts in the book that make the book just that perfect segway from sweet to sultry. As a woman, I'd love to rumple some sheets with Collin myself. :)
As with any romance, the storyline runs on a formula:
*girl meets boy
*insert positive storyline
*insert insurmountable problem
*insert resolution
*insert HEA
Luckily the storyline, writing style, character dynamic, and steam give the formula the kick it needs to be a good book.

I am really unhappy to report that I did not and could not finish this. I persevered for 50% but had to give up as I found myself skipping paragraph after paragraph; it didn't help that the chapters were really, really long. It started off well but I quickly got very bored. I really struggled to get into the story or connect with any of the characters which is a real shame because I usually enjoy reading Karin Slaughter's books but this one just wasn't for me. This will not, however, put me off reading her books in the future.

This was the first film in quite some time that has had a trailer that accurately portrayed what you ended up viewing. So often I find I'm confused about something or, surprisingly, end up wondering where a clip from the trailer has actually gone during the film.
Yardie was a good watch. But... I don't really know. I honestly wish I knew what I didn't like about it, perhaps it's more accurate to say that I can't actually say what I was wowed by in it. The music is the one thing that I consistently enjoyed overall.
I'm familiar with the accent, but even I found it difficult to follow at the beginning, and while there's lingo too, it isn't difficult to decipher that in the context of the scenes. As we left the screen a woman behind me said she felt it needed subtitles, to which her boyfriend just laughed. As you go through the film it does get easier to understand, but there's no denying that it will lose some people on the journey. That being said, if they'd sacrificed the authentic accents then it wouldn't have been true to its roots.
I don't know the story it's based on, I would imagine the film is going to be fairly accurate giving the authenticity of everything involved. The ending of the film left me with no real feeling of pleasure considering the lead up to it.
What should you do?
You should see this one. I might not have enjoyed it as much as I was hoping but it's still an interesting story.

Likeable chapters
This novel was the authors debut, for a debut novel it's well written and flows fairly well. The portrayal of bipolar disorder / manic depression is realistically unsettling. It really shows how damaging a misdiagnosis could be and the serious effect of being dismissed. To avoid spoilers I'm not going to say if this story ends with a happy or an unfortunate end. I will advise you NOT to read this if you suffer from a mental illness and are triggered easily, this could be a serious trigger.

Following on, although I thoroughly enjoyed reading it and really appreciate the mental health awareness in it which is a rare find in a book, I found this a hard one to score higher than 7/10. This is solely due to the fact that the chapters are long, ranging on average at about 25+ pages. This made it difficult to stay focused and I found myself having to read back a couple of pages to recap. This is completely my own problem as I enjoy shorter chapters and I really dislike stopping half way through a chapter.

I absolutely loved this game because of the story and side quest stories. The open world exploration for me was incredible and the game is beautiful. I found myself playing with photo mode a lot taking lots of pictures standing in fields of pretty flowers, patting cute foxes, or just standing atop a mountain taking in the amazing view. The combat in the game was fun for me and it wasn't too challenging to figure out which stances to use to gain an advantage. I liked the accessibility of the game with making the subtitles easy to read and having simplified controls. I also liked that you can easily change the difficulty settings on the game. The characters in the game are interesting and I found myself liking all of them because of their interaction with the main character Jin and getting to know them during their side story quests. I could tell where they drew inspiration from Kurosawa films like Seven Samurai and it was very well done. Ghost Of Tsushima overall is a fantastic game and I was impressed with how much thought and detail went into the game.
