You have to watch 1000 bad films to understand what make a film great
Where to start. I love watching films that are out of left field. So when I heard about this i had to look for it, i found it on youtube in 2 parts, it was to be to 60min tv movies but it works better as 1 1h film.

What is China known for? Yes that is it knock offs. Mad Max: Fury Road was nominated for Best Picture so lets rip it off. So i have seen that in the past but this was so low budget. We are talking looking for change in tbe couch low budget.

Some of the vehicles look like they used cardboard on them as props.
CG effects that were not needed that you can point out and would look better if left out.
In seens with motorcycles they were going so slow that the front tired would wobble to try to stay balanced.
The best acting came from the goofy sidekick.
Shelia was trying to look like a male in the beginning, you would half to be deaf and blind not to figure out she was a female.
They are in a wasteland and everyone is clean.
Acting skills or the lack of.
And many more problems.

If you ever think about watching this movie
DONT DO IT!! I WATCHED IT FOR YOU
You will get more enjoyment out of the trailer. If i had seen this in the theater i would have walked out. My friend and i could say after watching this was. WTF and we will never talk about this again. But after tradhing it i can say it had 1 or 2 good songs on the sound track

Fun and Exciting From Start to Finish
From the start of the movie it really grabs with how the world is perceived today. The earth is becoming a place that is environmentally unfit to live. Although it seems that the time doesn't really show that there is an urgent need to move off the planet.

The story starts with a group of astronauts leaving for Mars to test the living capabilities and seeing if we can survive. What we end up getting is a story about a boy born on Mars and not being able to leave the planet because he would be able to survive earth's atmosphere. You really feel for Gardener through out the movie because of how trapped his life feels. He only has one friend that is a robot and other that lives on earth and can only chat through computer. I know you have to give this kid a love interest, but he is supposed to be a secret. I don't know how he found his way in to a chat site that would give him access to earth, but they should have tried a lot harder. He knew he was a secret but he really could have told her everything.

Once he got to earth he found her really easily. For someone who has never been to Earth I find it hard to believe he could find his way around with no help.

Once he did find her it was nothing but stealing cars and running from the cops till they found his dad. Which no one got in trouble for.

With all the unrealistic plot points and timeline that really didn't fit. The story behind it all was very well told and was very enjoyable. The chemistry between all the actors and actresses was fantastic. The movie really did grab you and pull you in and allow you to feel for these characters. I like any movie that keeps in and focused.

I recommend that everyone see this movie if you like a little tug at the heart strings.

Action was phenomenal
Sweet action!

Went to see this film last night and I have a confession to make... I haven't seen a transformer film before. My boyfriend wanted to go so I went with him not sure what to expect. I walked out that cinema completely blown away. The effects were incredible throughout and the story line was sweet and you could really relate to the characters. Bumblebee completely won me over and I couldn't help but feel for him when he lost his speaker box. One of the best parts about this film was that when there were action scenes, you could still see what was going on and who was getting the upper hand on who. Some action film's struggle with this and you don't see much of the fight scenes because it's a bit of a blur. However, this film done it well! The only negative thing I'd say is that after the initial opening fight scene, the story was a bit slow for a while so you was given a really dramatic start and then moved into a slow build up but this soon picked up again when Charlie found bumblebee. I really do recommend this to anyone whether you have seen the transformer film's or not, it is a stand alone film to a certain extent. Loved it!

Walter is stick in limbo in the interim, a period of afterlife where you remain until everyone who knew him dies. All his loved ones have moved to yhe final stage of afterlife and he wants to go with them but a book of poems he wrote has been found by a stranger. Now she knows his name he is stuck for longer.

The story follows him and the women who found the book, Letty. She is a sad character who you want things to turn out good for.

The theory of the afterlife is fabulous and made me question whether I would want to stay there forever and be remembered or if I would want to risk moving into the final afterlife.

The characters made me want to shake them into being braver at times but are endearing. The plot is a bit crazy but there are lots of laughs and it is very creative.

"When I first this record I thought, ""What's wrong with the singer's voice?"" The second time I heard it I thought, ""Fuck, that guy looks like he's a savage killer!"" By the third time I'd heard it and seen the video, I thought, ""I like these guys…"" You need the right amount of exposure to these kinds of possibilities. People have certain prejudices against certain bands based on how they look but unless you're open-minded, you never know what you're missing out on. On top of the actual music, Motörhead embodied a lifestyle too. If you looked at Phil 'Philthy Animal' Taylor, may his soul rest in peace, he looked like a punk. He was the embodiment of cool. The only other guy who ever had that for me was when Chris Cornell had long hair! You just thought, ""That guy has got it going on."" Looking at Lemmy, who looked like a badass biker, and then Fast Eddie's darkness, Motörhead was all so cool. People ask me so often to comment on Lemmy's death and I always try to switch it to a comment on his life. How about we celebrate his existence? I saw a picture of him the other day and I found myself just staring and missing him a lot. Lemmy never hurt anyone or anything as far as I know. He never had to back up that dangerous attitude with anything else, like some of the things you're seeing on the internet just now with people shouting offensive things from the stage. That's an interesting breed of frontman and Lemmy was never like that. He knew who he was. It's hard when you can't understand when someone you know is gone. They're here, then they're gone and it's final. One of the most important lessons in that is to love people that are important to you and just be nice to people. You never know how long they'll be around."

Sufferborn is the story of elves and humans, how they live, and what happens when their worlds overlap. We start off in the past where Orinleah has just given birth and Daghahen is found by his brother. We learn Orinleah gives the boy a name that is banned from most of the tribes, Dorhen, meaning 'stranger'. Apparently, it means his life will not be long but be very arduous. Why she names him this isn't exactly clear as she seems so happy about it.

The pacing of this book is overall very slow. There are moments when it picks up but then it slows down again. This is good in the majority of the cases as there is always a lot going on, so it gives you time to grasp the situation as well as learning more about the characters. I would say that personally I would have found chapter headings to be helpful, just so I could find out who was talking and when, but that's probably just me.

And there are a LOT of characters too! The main ones end up being Daghahen, Dorhen, and Kalea, but trust me when I say there is a whole caboodle of characters there that will draw your attention. In fact, even in the last few chapters, you are introduced to new characters to take into book two with you.

With the slow pace and the amount of characters, it comes as no surprise this is a long book, typical of Fantasy. I wouldn't call it a Fantasy Romance as I felt the romance between Dorhen and Kalea actually wasn't that important. I mean, obviously it is or Kalea wouldn't have gone looking for him, but on the whole, there is so much more to the story than "just" romance. I would call it Dark Fantasy as there is plenty of violence and the threat of rape and/or rape scenes.

It ends on a cliffhanger so fair warning and I haven't found anything online to say when the next book is available. If Dark Fantasy ticks your box then I would recommend it.

I cannot go on like this. I feel such a burden to you. You are young and can start again. You deserve that chance. By the time you read this I will be dead. Do not grieve for me, for I am now without pain.

This was a real page-turner from page one! Would have been unputdownable if it hadn’t been for the fact that I had to put it down while at work.

I found myself absolutely loving Monica’s character. I’ve seen a couple of reviews that state her as “unlikable” but I thought she was very likable! She was a really unique character due to her constant pain and the way that affects her daily life and relationships. I loved that she could be sassy, lovely, and angry all in one go, she was a really fun character to immerse yourself in.

The plot of the unreliable narrator, the secretive husband etc wasn’t unique, I’ve read several books very similar to it in the past year in fact, but there was a certain edge to this book that made it so much more intriguing than some of the others I’ve read. It’s not that the twists were much better or more unpredictable than those in the other novels, it’s just simply that I enjoyed the writing style, characters and pace of this book more. For a mystery like this, novels usually try to cram as much as they can into the story to make the biggest number of twists possible, to get the reader excited, but this was nice and slow paced. It had just the right amount of shock moments in it, you didn’t feel overwhelmed by it at all.

The ending really got to me and was certainly not how I expected this book to end up. I’ll admit that I got a little emotional. If you’re a mystery thriller junkie like me, I definitely recommend this, it’s one of the best I’ve read this year.

Thanks to Netgalley and Little, Brown Book Group UK for giving me the opportunity to read this in exchange for an honest review.

I can no longer support this podcast
I really loved this podcast up until I found out some of the sketchy things that Alexa Riley (Lea & Mel) have done. They're known scammers who have book stuffed on Amazon, stolen plots from various authors and have been subsequently banned from Amazon.

I still love that you can get free professionally narrated audiobooks but I cannot listen to this podcast anymore due to the above issues.

Original Review:

I love this podcast because I get to try new authors and listen to professionally narrated audiobooks in bite-size chunks. I'm not one to listen to podcasts, so when I heard about this podcast through a Skye Warren post, I knew I needed to give it a try.

This podcast is a great way to read new authors and find some new favorites. I haven't had a chance to listen to all of them, but it has been fun catching up to the live airing and listening to all of the different novellas.

I read this book not realising that it was the second of a series. And all I can say is that I will definitely be finding the first and reading it!
This was a great concept and it was written very well. I especially liked the "Easter eggs" within the story (I won't say more because I don't want to give them away, but I found three). I loved how the poem was used within the story and for the first time the poem has given me the chills. I had always read it differently. The characters were written really well, the relationship outcome a bit predictable, but how else could it end? You leave a lot about the protagonist's past really quickly without it impeding the present story and this makes it really easy to relate to her. The writing was very easy to read and the story telling was excellent. Love love love!
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
