I read a lot of books, mostly fiction. I love word puzzles, ice cream, cooking, flea markets and my...

Food52 Ice Cream and Friends 60 Recipes and Riffs for Sorbets, Sandwiches, No-Churn Ice Creams, and More by Editors of Food52 is a fabulous book for anybody who has an interest in making their own frozen desserts and will have special appeal to those that have already mastered the more mainstream recipes. I was not only impressed with the ingredient choices but also all the wealth of information on making healthier cones, sprinkle toppings and how to fix shakes, ice cream etc.. to your individual taste ie: more creamy, more silky or more icey.

Ice Cream & Friends is a book that is contains a fresh new look at what to put in ice cream from tea to spices. Having easy to read recipes and even recipes to make your own sprinkles, this book is surly to be hit. I love ice cream and reading this book that gives you more ideas to incorporated in your own homemade ice cream, is just perfect.

Is it Warm Enough for Ice Cream? by DK is a simple book about seasons. It asks each season if it is warm enough to eat ice cream. It is a quick and simple read for early learners. It reviewed the seasons and if each one was the right time for Ice cream. In each season the story gave ideas for what happens during that time and what activities you could do in that type of weather.

Each page describes a season of the year. Toddlers will learn about different items that show up in the season highlighted. Finally, it’s warm enough for ice cream and the colors pop even more than on the previous pages.

This book made me want to create a list of things to achieve for each season- like Ice Skating, wandering through the woods, looking for hiding animals, flying kites, and definitely eating ice cream.

I received an ARC from DK Children via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I give this book 4/5 stars.
