Sirens Desire ( Dark k Tides book 3)
By Devyn Quinn

After defeating the covert agency that threatened to destroy her and her sisters, Addison Lonike grudgingly resumes her life as an EMT in Maine. She would love nothing more than to take on the dangerous Mer queen, Magaera, who is hell-bent on destroying them. But with two baby nieces on the way, she can't take the risk - that is, until Mason McKenzie arrives.

Captain of the naval task force on the hunt for Queen Magaera in the Mediterranean, Mason sees the perfect recruit in Addison. But while at sea, the pair is pulled under a wave of passion that threatens their independent natures - and their mission. An encounter with a new race of male sea-shifters further complicates Addison's desires. Now, she must choose between a life of the sea or fulfilling the deepest longings of her heart..

This is the last book in The Dark Tides series and it was overall a good book it didn’t quite blow me away but it concluded the series nicely. The series on a whole was really good following 3 sister who have to deal with people learning their secrets, they go through love loss and betrayal. It’s definitely worth it if you like mermaid centered romance.

It's all very NICE, is all. Nicely written, nicely delivered and nice.
Independent reviewer for Book Sirens, I was gifted my copy of this book.

I liked this book, I did but it one of those NICE books, that, while a good read, I'm not really left feeling very much of anything about it, you know?

There was a lot of book, I think, that wasn't really necessary and while 2 epilogues is nice, one would have been suffice. The whole thing could have been a really great book, with 100 less pages, I thought. I found myself skimming over a lot. I didn't miss anything, either!

But!

It's a lovely tale of a gay guy falling in love with his straight best friend. There's a nasty co-worker, some amazing friends, parental units who don't deserve the father title, and family members who really do take the closeness a bit far. Some amusing moments with Max' sister and Jack!

And then the fall out from Jack being outed to the entire world, and the closing ranks around him that he never expected.

It's all very NICE, is all. Nicely written, nicely delivered and nice.

Having said that, this appears to be the author's first book, and I would like to read more as they hone their craft.

3 good, solid nice stars

Independent Reviewer for Archaeolibrarian - I Dig Good Books!

Kit runs Garfield House which is a refuge for boys/young men that have been exiled by so-called friends and family for being gay!

The previous landlord has passed away and Kit is having to deal with his pompous nephew who is against everything Garfield house stands for. Kit then has the rug pulled from underneath him when said nephew decides to put the building on the market he's now got to find a way to keep the boys he's taken in safe and secure as he promised he would.

This is a beautifully written story. You get to see both sides of the story from each character's point of view and I think it's fantastic. Having an understanding of what both men are thinking and feeling makes you involved in the story and their growing relationship.

There is a lot of passion in this book especially when Kit and Jack admit their feelings for each other but it's not done in a tasteless way.

This book is part of a series but can also be read as a stand-alone, I personally am interested in reading about the other characters and finding out their stories. I am definitely hooked!

I rate this book 5/5 and recommend you read it.
