Book Divas (227 KP) rated Isabel and The Wolf, Part 1 in Books
Dec 12, 2017
I received a copy of this book from Ms. Hawkes in exchange for an honest review so here it goes:
A MUST READ! From the minute I opened this book I could not put it down as Ms. Hawkes carried me away via her story line. Isabel appears to be a strong and independent woman but looks can be deceiving. Peter of course is hot, sexy and mysterious and my curiosity is at a high and climactic peak. I can't wait to read part two to see how this steamy story unfolds.

Lindsay (1693 KP) rated The Bobbsey Twins on Blueberry Island (Original Bobbsey Twins #10) in Books

This a fun filled Classic. The kids in this book go to Blueberry Island and find a Mystery. Though before they do they are in a mystery before leaving.
The two sets of twins are independent and though they also follow though with listening to their father and mother. To start this book they see the caravans that they think that are a part of the curious well the little twins do. There father comes home to find out what the problem is in the street near this house.
This book is great for children and quite enjoyable. I would recommend it.

So as there is no follow up to the handmaid's tale I decided to branch our and read a different Attwood book! And I must say that this one is also a very weird concept. I enjoyed it... not as much as the Handmaid but Attwood seems to have a talent for coming up with weird and wonderful ideas for her books.
I wouldn't read a sequel to this if there was one, and it doesn't fix a Handmaids craving if that is what you are looking for, but as an independent book I found this a good read.

Crushing and disappointing
DO NOT READ THIS IF YOU LOVE TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD.
That being said, the reason why Harper Lee completely falls short in this novel is the fact that she destroys the heroic images of the characters that we have grown to love.
Without saying more, once again this novel is written in the perspective of Scout who is now a young woman and much more independent and vocal about the civil rights movement. She learns that everything she loved and respected is actually very different to what she imagined, pulling down heroes from their pedestals.
I'm totally scarred reading this.

Dana (24 KP) rated Alice in Zombieland - White Rabbit Chronicles in Books

I really enjoyed this book. There was just enough action and romance in it. A lot of people may say that they don't like it because it has nothing to do with Alice in Wonderland (which is one of my all time favorite books) but it is the subtle hints at the characters from Alice in Wonderland that make it awesome. It is not a remake of a classic, but an amazing telling of a story with characters who may have some of the same traits as the originals. Alice Bell is strong, independent, courageous and faithful, just like Alice from Caroll's book. I highly recommend this book.
Lee KM Pallatina (951 KP) rated Ether One in Video Games

An open minded debut
Ether One is a first-person adventure game developed by British independent company White Paper Games. It was the studio's debut game and was originally released for Microsoft Windows on March 25, 2014. A PlayStation 4 edition was released on May 5, 2015.
The fragility of the human mind is the subject of Ether One, a moving first-person adventure that subtly experiments with your feelings. Choose one of two paths through the world. One lets you play through the game at your own pace, unfolding a story free from puzzles or challenges.
