Solid Latino New York Hip Hop
Probably arriving a couple of years too late and on a more indie rock label, As The World Burns never really made the impact an album as good as this should have done.

This is solid Hip Hop where the MCs sound passionate, with plenty of humour, punchlines and just dope beats. Q-Unique stood out but non of the emcees are week. Just go listen to it.

"If I had to choose just one Wilco album to own this would be it if I could only be it. As consistently good as they are, there is something undeniably unique about this record. The song writing it beautiful but the production is what takes it over the top. Handled differently the record would be simply a fantastic indie folk record, but the strangely textured recording raises it up to become something entirely other."

"Like Xanadu, it’s a phantasmagoria – but more menacing. A lone teenage gal and her dog hit the (yellow, brick) road and pick up a trio of men along the way. Try pitching that idea to a Hollywood studio! The only film in recent memory with a similar story was the lugubrious indie Wendy and Lucy, which I couldn’t even finish. Maybe a flying monkey or a smartly dressed munchkin might have perked things up."

It has a certain charm for not being mainstream and an original story. (0 more)
It's very low budget so the quality isn't as good as a blockbuster (0 more)
Indie Low Budget Horror
If you're a serious horror movie buff this is a must own. There are many terrible films and this is not one of them, sure it's not great but it's not awful. Another drawback is the majority is shot in one area so it lacks movement.

A solid debut packed with indie rock thrills...
The debut album from Irish four-piece The Academic is brimming with energy and potential. The band, singer Craig Fitzgerald, drummer Dean Gavin, and brothers Matt and Stephen Murtagh, guitar and bass respectively, have been building up a following across the Irish Sea since forming as teenagers in 2013.

Saw these live as a support act, to be honest, they have some really catchy stuff. In the category of Feminist indie-punk bands, they get a 10 out of 10 from me, but when you start comparing them to similar bands like Goat Girl or possibly even someone like Ida Maria, they really start to fall in the list.

I wouldn't not recommend them by far, but they are trying a little bit too hard for my tastes.

A nice surprise!
A surprising good Horror film that is definitely different to the normal Slasher. A small group hire an old barn in a remote area to make an adult film. The old couple on the farm find out which lead to a series of events to unfold.
For a low budget indie film it was really good, creepy, sinister, with good gore effects as well. A prequel Film Pearl was made at same time.

One more time for George and Wes
So ten years after making the famed indie film Hatchet, Adam Green unleashes slasher icon Kane Hodder in full killer costume as Victor Crowley.
Made in secret by Green and his crew from Ariescope Pictures, the film picks up ten years after the final movie(Hatchet 3).
I am not a spoiler, not in the true spoiler sense, but what follows is 83 minutes of pure slasher gore and some pretty decent comedy.
ONCE more people have seen it I will go more into detail for my review. All I can tell you is Victor Crowley is a movie made purely and soley for fans of the slasher genre. The kils are quick and undoubtedly painful. And along the way a few of Victors favorite tools come out to play.
So... In closing I have to say buy this film. Support the indie genre. Don't stream it or download it. Actually pay for it. It's worth its weight in blood.

Phobe waller-bridge
Start off by saying this is better indiana jones film than kingdom of crystal skull said it I would say 4th best indie film of the 5 with last crusade being the best if this the last one then it out on high there's plenty from the start showing a younger indiana jones doing what he does best defeating nazis In search of the mcguffin of the title and then we see older at the end of his career u know the rest its a fun movie with plenty of good action scenes not forgetting the new casting of phobe waller-bridge as his sidekick have to admit she's rather good some point gonna have to watch flea bag and then there's mads mikkelsen as the villian of the movie and does it so well as only mads can overall u see it definitely.
My top five indie films
1 last crusade
2 raiders of the lost ark
3 Temple of doom
4 dial of destiny
5 kingdom of crystal skull

A Fresh Take On A Classic Character
This movie has been polarizing and I can see why. Some of the creative decisions taken seem odd and feel slightly out of place is a monster movie blockbuster and more as if they belong in an indie art movie. Although I thought that for the most part these decisions worked in the movie's favour. Also, one thing is for sure, it's better than the last Godzilla movie that we got.
