A great indie horror film
Ryan Kiser rocks!!!
Gory, disturbing and a helluva good time
I waited five years to see this movie, and it was totally worth it.
Jessica Cameron co-wrote and directed a worth wile addition to the horror genre.
It's hard to believe this was her first stab at directing. Pardon the pun folks, but stab is exactly what happens in this movie.
I had never heard of Ryan Kiser before this film, but he portrays an obsessed fan with psychotic gusto only equivalent to that of veteran horror actors.
Cameron, Dorff and the rest of the cast envelop them selves in their characters so much, and the camera work is so simple that it makes the disgusting game of Truth or Dare seem realistic and unstaged.
After reading the reviews for this splatterfest I can see how some people who are not horror hounds would be repulsed by this movie.
Myself, I brought an open mind and honestly didn't expect what I saw. But as a horror fanatic and self proclaimed horror movie GOD, I am in love with the concept of this film.
It brought obsession to a new height. It makes the viewer see that people can become so enthralled in other people's lives, that they can become obsessed with what they view.
Jessica Cameron deserves the spoils she received for her debut movie.
In this writers opinion this movie is the beginning of an amazing career for her as both a writer and director.
Big Studios take notice. This indie Queen is coming at you all with her nails out. I hope this is the first of many movie from her disturbed mind.

Enter a Broken world To Get A Little Healed
Alex is another Indie author who knows how to break every emotion in one of her book prefaces it says something along the lines of: My friend told me you will need a bottle of vodka Xandex and chocolate to get through this book. I agree with this completely. Alex world especially the Jaded series deals with the worst humanity has to offer. Few authors are able to write and convey every possible action and emotion so thoroughly as Alex does. The characters are believable and lovable.

Akurei is an electronic singer-songwriter from Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Not too long ago, he released a do-it-yourself music video for his “Stockholm” single.

The audiovisual was filmed by Akurei’s good friend Max Byrne (Golden Vessel) in February during a recent trip to the United States.

The video stars Akurei performing against a variety of visually stimulating winter backdrops while wearing a big fury coat.

‘Stockholm’ is the first single from Akurei’s upcoming second EP, which will be released later this year.

The likable tune contains a relatable storyline, pleasing vocals, and summery instrumentation scented with an indie-electro fragrance.

Ok... Apart from the ending
This seems a bit of an indie film but actually has a good cast line up. Britt Robertson is the main character and likable even when her character isn't at times. She blogs her life and mainly her relationships she goes through. It isn't a particularly light hearted film and raises a lot issues on many deep subjects. Overall it was an interesting film but the final few minutes didn't make any sense with what went before. It just didn't fit with the rest of the film. Worth checking out.

"Love Liza, it’s such a random thing. I saw it — I can’t remember if my buddy bought it at a DVD store or it was on NYU TV or something — but I remember watching it and just being so transfixed by Philip Seymour Hoffman’s performance. I just really love that movie a lot. Honestly man, I think that was one of the first independent films I’d seen. I wasn’t huge into the independent film scene until I went to college, and then of course, once you get to NYU, it’s all about the indie scene, you know. But I love independent filmmaking; I think they’re really telling the interesting stories."

Now I have to say that this is a movie that I probably wouldn’t have given much thought to, but after seeing the trailer so many times before the movies at Cineworld it piqued my curiosity and seeing that it was a Cineworld Unlimited Screening I thought I would give it a go.

There are some moments where are found myself laughing out loud during the movie, the production of Pirates is very much on the Indie looking side and this works well, as I mentioned earlier the soundtrack is brilliant and I think for me this made up for most of the other stuff in the film.

A decent low budget indie flick made in Northern Ireland. It has some well known faces like Rachael Taylor (Transformers) and a great location, an old disused prison which genuinely looks creepy. The film has a nice idea, a virtual reality battle simulation used by the army is borrowed for a gaming session. The only problem that as well as mapping the old prison to play in the game it also picks up a ghost with revenge in mind. Considering the budget the effects are ok. It reminded me a bit of Stay alive and more recently Gamer. Overall a good effort on a low budget, the DVD has a 30 minute making of as well!

Fun game for word fans
Made by an indy developer, 7 Words is a fun and easy to use game as an alternative take on the crossword puzzle.

Each level you are given a number of clues and a bunch of tiles. The tiles are the answers broken down in three letter parts. For example the clue may be 'the middle of the week' so you would click on tiles saying WED NES. DAY. It sounds simple but is trickier than you think

It's also intuitively designed and clean and easy to use. If you like word games a really recommend this and live supporting indie developers.

July reads!
Just finished my last book for July! Managed 21 which was a little low due to enjoying the Olympics .

Some new authors for me as well as some favourites and some rereads!

Highly recommend Adam Nevill his books are just brilliant Banquet of the Damned was outstanding the second time round.

If you love a good zombie as well as some comedy definitely go for Death in a Northern Town just so so funny!

Worst was possibly Savannah James and The Merchants house they failed to grab me.

As always I have some indie authors in there too!
Mason sabres society dearies is really getting good.

Looking forward to August and the books to come!!
