Imogen SB (4507 KP) rated What Did You Expect from the Vaccines? by The Vaccines in Music

Surfing the rock vibe
As first albums go, this is good. It really sets up a good feel for The Vaccines style and substance. Mixing surfer style with current indie rock helps create a new and fresh style of music, that I personally think is easily consumable by most listeners!

Good underdog film
A decent indie film about an aspiring girl rapper trying to improve her humdrum life. Yes it's a bit predictable, all underdog films are. This has some likeable characters you'll be cheering on. If you like @8 Mile (2002) you should like this as well.

Better Off Barefoot is a duo based in Los Angeles, California. Not too long ago, they released a charming indie-pop tune, entitled, “When I Wake”.
“Hope you go to sleep now. I let myself fall away. I hear what you’re saying. How did I let you stay? I’m not holding back now. Let go of my old ways. Let go of my troubles knowing we’ll be okay.” – lyrics
‘When I Wake’ tells an interesting tale of a young woman who is optimistic about the future.
The likable tune contains a relatable storyline, soft vocals, and mellow instrumentation flavored with alternative and indie elements.
“‘When I Wake’ is about the process of finding your peace in all the chaos. Learning to let go, bouncing back, and in a new light moving into who you want to be.” – Better Off Barefoot

Bradley produces the music and Elle sings and writes the songs. They describe their music as a mixture of pop, indie, and electronic music.

A Sensory Overload
I watched this at my local indie cinema last year, and I came out completely stunned. I was shocked, disturbed... and euphoric. Every single second of this outstanding movie grabs hold of your senses, and twists them beyond anything you’ve experienced before. Brutal but brilliant, with a soundtrack to die for.

Compelling thriller
Debut novel by Indie author that captures contemporary life in The Washington DC area as a relatable backdrop to a compelling suspense mystery. Imogen SB (4507 KP) rated Visions of a Life by Wolf Alice in Music

Better than the first
This album is beautiful. The haunting, eerie vocals paired with the almost mystic indie rock creates a truly original sound from Wolf Alice. The difference between tracks like St Purple and Green and Yuk Foo is astounding how they can be collected together in the same album and still be such an amazing sound.

Perfect
Everything about this incredible album is brilliant. The first time I heard it it brought me to years. Jarring indie rock from Seattle influenced by hardcore like if Radiohead loved Drive Like Jehu. Rocky's voice and lyrics are so powerful and the songs will haunt you. Utterly compelling.
