Non-fiction hat reads like a novel (2 more)
Passion in the research
The footnotes hold some of the most interesting bits of information
300 years of history painstakingly explored
I'm not a non-fiction reader but this book was amazing. It's definitely an ambitious one, challenging itself to cover the entire 300 years of Romanov rule in Russia and managing to do justice to every era.

Great characters (1 more)
In depth plot
Crime fiction at its best
It took me a little while to get into this book, but once I did I couldn't put it down! The characters are super interesting and the amount of detail and effort that was put in to make the background information accurate is evident. Also much darker than your typical crime fiction novels.
What an innovative way to look at a subject. Follow the Link: A Journey Though Technology show brief information about a wealth of different items and links them together in a plethora of different manners. As a way to introduce STEM subjects to a more reluctant reader, I think this would be ideal and the curiosity raising presentation a real bonus to child engagement.

Book 2 of the Nabari No Ou series begins to dive further into the actual plot. You get background information about a few of the main characters, as well. The pace is about the same as Book 1. The story actually moves forward in this book, and you find out more about what the secret art is, and why people are trying to hunt it down.

Jessica - Where the Book Ends (15 KP) rated Indie Author Guide of Awesome in Books

This is a super quick and easy read, but its FULL of super helpful information. Teresa goes over the self publishing part from start to finish, and I learned loads of stuff I am going to put to good use when I publish my first book. I think this is a book that every author should read, especially if you're considering self publishing your book.
I was sent a copy of this book from Netgalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
I have about 6 books in this series. I adore it. The update gives information about hackers and possibly murderous clowns in addition to getting away from a drone attack.
This book is a quick, easy read and packed with tidbits I hope I'll never end up using.

Thanks to NetGalley and Hachette books for providing me with a copy in exchange for an honest review.
I found this book delightful. It was easy to understand without being condescending and has really cute illustrations.
The vignettes are short and sweet and the book is packed with information.
I would definitely recommend this book to animal lovers with a good sense of humor.

AT (1676 KP) rated Twenty-One Truths About Love in Books

This novel was nothing that I was expecting. I just expected another light love story, but this book turned out to be a very enjoyable, often funny read. The fact that it was written as lists was also interesting, because the story really came together, even though the details were in short lists of information. I really had a good time reading this book!
