Red Lights (2012)
2012 | Drama, Mystery
I have an interest in the paranormal and people's supposed psychic abilities so I enjoyed this film. However it absolutely failed to reach its potential and the twist at the end which could have been mind-bending was rather a damp squib. On a side note, if the subject interests you, I once watched a Storyville documentary on Uri Geller where he was proven to be a fraud (not that that stalled his career at all) but that is definitely worth a watch!

I wasn't sure about this to start with but I quickly warmed up to the story. Admittedly, a lot of my excitement with this was the love interests and her reactions to them as an Imp, wanting to get them into bed and do naughty stuff to them a lot of the time. I'm very intrigued as to what will happen later on in this series with Gregory and also with Wyatt.

I definitely want to read the next book!

Overall, this was a great read. Some parts were completely terrible while others were absolutely fantastic. I would only reread parts of this novel as certain stories are better than the others but all in all, it’s a 4 star read.

Type: Stand-alone/ multiple short stories contained in one book

Interests: Witchcraft, Short Stories, LGBTQ+, Romance, Family, Multiple POV’s.

Point of View: Multiple of different characters

Audience/ Reading Level: 14+ as there are some serious scenes that are a bit more mature.

Ugh, I hated Elizabeth, Jessica, Jeffrey, and Aaron so much in this book. Liz for being a hateful shrew to Heather because Heather dared to have different interests than St. Liz.

Aaron - for being a horrible person and not seeking help because of his Daddy Issues.

Jeffrey - for being a worthless enabler.

Jessica for being stupid and not reading a product label. And then actually profiting from her mistake. SERIOUSLY? They didn't bother to read the instructions! Why should thay win a frakkin' lawsuit?!
