Detailed look at how sugar is peddled to the masses
It's true, a lot of the arguments seem obvious in this day and age that sugar is bad for you. However, this book explains how for decades, giant corporations such as Coca Cola and well known confectioners, and academics with interests in the sugar foundation attempted to thwart all research surrounding this. For much of the time, sugar was seen as the better evil compared to saturated fat, but actually it has been the number one cause in the rise of diabetes, illnesess related to cancer and even dementia.

It is important to read why sugar has been ignored for so long, and no doubt it'll make you feel guilty for reaching for that chocolate bar, and possibly question if that spoonful in your tea is a good idea.

Another master piece
I'm a massive fan of the shadowhunter world and own every book (listed editions if possible) infernal devices is my favourite series but the dark artifices is a close second. This is the second book in the series. The main focus is Julian and Emma parabatai and best friend but also fighting their love for each other which is forbidden. Their are many characters in this book which can get a confusing when you start reading but the further you get the more each character stands out.
All in all its a page Turner and I couldn't put it down its has action, romance, betrayal, heart dropping tear jerking moments.

After Impact was a great start to a new thought provoking series. Avalon brought interest to a new look of how the world may handle an asteroid destroying life on earth. I liked actually reading a book where a younger girl actually acted appropriately for her age and that she was intelligent. The book keeps you wondering how society will not only function being the last few thousand alive on earth and waking from cryo-sleep hoping to find the outside earth environment liveable. In addition to that, we work through a mysterious illness and disappearance of some of the lower class residence. Of course we also have a good mix of love interests too. Overall an excellent young adult book and it's a clean read! Definitely recommended. I can't wait to read the next in the series.
