So I thought this was going to be more of a locked room sort of thriller, people trapped on an island, lots of secrets and murder but the way it was written was just a tad flat for me, but a fairly solid thriller.

I guessed most of the "big" reveals and the various POVs had that frustrating hiding what they know while narrating things going on. I mean it was OK but just that really.

For me, it feels as though I’m seeing the world through my grandparents' eyes as they traveled from Poland and Lithuania through Ellis Island, finally settling in Chicago. It helps paint a picture of my personal past."
