"Kelly Reno gives one of the three greatest performances by a kid (next to Anna Paquin in The Piano and Victoire Thivisol in Ponette). Watch him be his own stuntman on an island with no hospital, a production with no net. Kelly Reno is a beast of an actor, and then controls beasts himself. The present crop of abs-obsessed, fake-tough actors should tremble before him. Director of photography Caleb Deschanel shoots this movie effortlessly but still drenches it in beauty."

A weepy number to end the weekend
This tale of love and loss takes us to the beautiful Island of Guernsey, where pig farmer Dawsey has been corresponding with Juliet. Juliet travels from London to meet the society that banned together over roast meat and literary greats, to fill the loneliness of the Nazi occupation of Guernsey in WWII. Juliet visits wanting to share their story, and instead shares their hearts and lives. A touching story of pain and healing.

Godzilla vs. Kong (2021)
Godzilla vs. Kong (2021)

Basically, a big-budget scrap fest based in the 'MonsterVerse' that was kicked off by 'Kong: Skull Island' (which, IMO, is still the best of the movies in that series) before expanding to also include 'Godzilla: King of the Monsters', with Godzilla and Kong both positioned as apex beings on planet Earth; both unwilling to give up their dominant position.

Basically, an excuse to have the two monsters fight each other, and against a returning foe from an earlier movie.
