"I guess I’m a sucker for black and white. This 1970 independent classic is from writer/director Leonard Kastle, who took over after Martin Scorsese was let go. Shirley Stoler is funny and heartbreaking as the homicidal, jealous companion of scam artist Tony Lo Bianco. Based on a true story, it held particular interest for me because the killers at one point decide to retire to suburban Valley Stream, Long Island, the town where I primarily grew up and directed my first film, Trees Lounge. I once worked with Tony on an episode of the TV series Homicide and excitedly told him he had one of my favorite lines in one of my favorite movies. After sizing me up for a few seconds, he replied, “Well, that would have to be the Honeymoon Killers, and the line of course is, ‘Valley Stream. Valley Stream. What a joke!’”"

Well, that was a bit of a strange movie.

A mixture of comedy and adventure, this is set after the 'monsterpocalypse' when the chemicals used to send rockets up to explode an asteroid heading to earth instead resulted in the mutation of cold-blooded animals.

So, giant man-eating frogs.

Giant man-eating ants/earthworms.

Giant spiders.

etc etc.

Think that bit on Perter Jackson's 'King Kong' where they are on the island, and all the giant creepy-crawlies ...

(Although, this, I have to say, is more PG-rated than that particular scene).

With the survivors in separate enclaves around the country, 20-something year old Joel decides to leave his underground bunker and travel across the surface to his girlfriends community just 80 miles away.

The result is an easy enough watch, that never really caught my attention all that much, despite the best efforts of the dog 'Boy'!

Great time killer for the creative
Animal crossing new horizons is a great on going game with lots to create, do, and experience. With no limit to what you can do and create for your island it is easy to spend 100s of hours playing and not collect everything. Though it can feels like chores at some point ita pretty fun to play with others.

Sadly there aren't minigames to play with other players but you can create your own. This allows those who are creative to have more fun. There are tons of diys and items to collect which you can do by playing with others or joining online communities to do so. I however find it is more fun to play alone at times as communicating can be rough in game.
