Not as good as the book
It was a good representation of the book, however it kind of droned on and was slow paced.
The book involved a lot more in-depth description of Elio and his feelings towards Oliver even though it was also quite slow paced. The depth of how the book was written though made up for it, as it kept you wanting to read it more.
I would most likely watch the film again as it is still quite good and is a great coming of age movie. Furthermore, there were some funny moments within the movie.
Would recommend the movie, however I think that the book is definitely worth reading as it portrays it a lot better

The first volume of Snow White with the Red Hair was just okay. It wasn't awful, but it didn't exactly pull me in. It started getting slightly more interesting around halfway through the book. It had a few cute moments, but it seemed like it should have almost been a series targeted for the junior reading age group. However, the subject matter is geared toward the young adult audience. It's just one of those odd stories that hangs in limbo between reading audiences. Also, being a retelling of a classic tale, I must say that it only seemed that way for the first handful of pages, at most. Then it was like every other manga series with the theme that it follows.

"I heard the track 'Timing X' from that album when my friend played it at the 333 Club in Old Street. It was only a minute-and-a-half long, but it was just really funky and just very strange -sounding. That's why I bought the record. I found it at this little junk shop in Cambridge, and it was just very exciting to hear - it goes from this really aggressive mood to this disco tune. I liked how full-on it sounded. I remember watching videos of them live and admiring how confrontational they were, and they had so much energy - they'd always be right at the front of the stage. It was exhilarating music from an era where it just felt very adventurous."

"The original was called Pollyanna, and then they did a remake of the film, called Polly, and it had Phylicia Rashad in it. It was probably one of the first musical films I had ever seen that was fully… Pretty much almost fully cast of Black men and women and children. And I think it was one of the reasons I was like, “Oh, I can do musicals. I can be in them. This is cool.” And I love the music. I still remember the songs, and it’s been a while since I’ve watched it. I have the VHS of it. I don’t even know if they do it on DVD. I don’t know if you can even get it on iTunes. But I loved it."

Raj dishonoured his family by going to America to chase a woman he has fallen in love with. Will he get his happily ever after?

First off, let me say yes, I know it says it's an erotic book. It really is. It certainly made me blush in parts, as well as wanting to say aww bless as he is so innocent. It just proves how different cultures work.

I read it as if Raj was talking, as that's how it seems to be written. Not sure if it was intentional but it works. It's not a story that I would read again but I enjoyed it.
