A superhero staple
There are so many great things about Tim Burton's batman. It's the first real dark take on a superhero movie and revived the genre for years to come. Keaton to this day is still the best Bruce Wayne and Princes soundtrack is nothing short of iconic.

"It’s basically my perfect movie. Character driven with phenomenal performances, so idiosyncratic, and funny as hell, as well as achingly sad. The ideal combination of comedy and tragedy. I adore Shirley [MacLaine] and Jack [Nicholson] together. I love them, full stop. It’s the most satisfying tearjerker ever made because the lows are so beautifully balanced with gorgeous, swelling highs."

You Can't Handle The Truth
I love this movie, its such a phenomenal movie, a epic dramaic movie. Lies, truth, justice and liberty. You have a excellent cast like- Tom Cruise, Demi Moore, Jack Nicholson, Kiefer Sutherland, Kevin Bacon, Kevin Pollack and Cuba Gooding Jr.

Also you have classic lines like.. "I am a lawyer and an officer in the United States Marine Corps...and you're under arrest, you son of a bitch.", "What do you wanna talk about now? My favorite color?", "Did you order the code red?", "I want the truth!" and of course "You Can't Handle The Truth".

The plot: Lt. Daniel Kaffee (Tom Cruise) is a military lawyer defending two U.S. Marines charged with killing a fellow Marine at the Guantanamo Bay Naval Base in Cuba. Although Kaffee is known for seeking plea bargains, a fellow lawyer, Lt. Cdr. JoAnne Galloway (Demi Moore), convinces him that the accused marines were most likely carrying out an order from a commanding officer. Kaffee takes a risk by calling Col. Nathan R. Jessep (Jack Nicholson) to the stand in an effort to uncover the conspiracy.

Such a classic excellent movie, to start the month of "Tom Cruise".

Unreasonably angry about being pill shamed on other social media. OCD isn’t something that fixes itself in many cases, some of us are unlucky enough to actually require medication. Remember Jack Nicholson in As Good as it Gets??? I’m starting to develop his personality disorder too. All because ignorance seems to rule the world. Back to your regularly scheduled programming, lol...

Brillaint Slapstick Comic Horror
Enjoyable and silly, and by todays standards incredibly un-horrific.

Price sending up his entire oeuvre is arguably even better than when he is playing it straight.

Notable for raspberry jam, dodgy effects and a very, veeeery young Jack Nicholson.

Maybe a bit dated for modern tastes, but I love it and so did my kids 😊

"Why Five Easy Pieces? Also an anti-hero movie. Jack Nicholson is not necessarily a likeable character, but you can’t help wanting to root for the guy. Especially at the end when he goes to the bathroom and hops in a truck and just takes off. For some reason you still like this guy who leaves his girl sitting at a gas station."

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975)
1975 | Comedy, Drama

"Jack Nicholson is extraordinary in it, but that is an ensemble movie where everyone carries the story. And it’s a movie about social injustice and inequity and the disenfranchised, and it will kill you. It will sway you with its sadness, but in a way that is appropriate, and there is a glimmer of hope at the end, I would say."

"One of the inspirational films for me, Cool Hand Luke. Paul Newman. He’s just phenomenal. I mean, really. It’s the template for many films. You know, Jack Nicholson in [One Flew Over the] Cuckoo’s Nest, it’s the same kind of thing, the individual against the system. “What we’ve got here is a failure to communicate. Some men, you just can’t reach.” I love that film. Love it."

Original and still the best
As good as Christopher Nolan's Batman Trilogy was, this is still my favourite and Keaton is still the best Dark Knight. Dark and broody and with eyebrows made for the role, Keaton delivers as both Batman and Bruce Wayne while Jack Nicholson hits the perfect balance of menace and camp with his Joker. Ps -Great soundtrack too
PPS - the Batmobile has never looked so cool

Movie Favorite

"Warren Beatty directed, about the life of John Reed. Jack Nicholson is Eugene O’Neill, one of his greatest performances. It combines everything I love about movies: great acting, unbelievable romance, and politics. Sondheim did the music, Elaine May helped write it. It’s kind of the bar. I just think of what cinema can accomplish. It’s like a great, great novel, only better. And with one of the great endings of all time. Just so beautiful."
