"I think Jake Gyllenhaal is great, and two Jakes are even better. Even more so in the hands of Denis Villeneuve, and especially so given the movie’s final moments – and its almost cocky embrace of a nightmarish metaphor for intimacy and commitment – of which I am endlessly jealous."

Extremely grim world of night crawling
This shows the basest nature of humankind. Wrapped up in greed and death, Jake Gyllenhaal's character is almost sociopathic in trying to get ahead by being first at crimes and accidents, and selling it to the media. At times you want to look away at the sheer horror of it all, but just like an audience or consumer you keep watching the train wreck.

Enjoyed the final chapter of the Infinty Saga. Definitely a fitting end. (4 more)
Jake Gyllenhaal (probably spelt it wrong) is brilliant as Mysterio.
Very amusing! Daughter loved the quips from MJ.
No spoilers here... But the scene when spidey gets disorientated... Loved it! Very cleverly executed.
As usual: some great call backs to characters from precious marvel movies.
None. No criticism! (0 more)
Thank you Smash Bomb!
Received the DVD from Smash Bomb giveaway. Super pleased to have won it. Delivered really quickly as well.
The film itself... I watched it at the cinema and even though I'd already seen it, like most marvel movies, was more than worth another watch.
Storyline was great to finish off the infinity Saga.
Actors were brilliant. Especially loved Jake Gyllenhaal as Mysterio.
Enjoyed the callbacks to previous marvel movies and felt the film was executed brilliantly.

"Jake Gyllenhaal takes creepiness to a whole new level here in Nightcrawler. Nightcrawler is a well made and executed story of one man's obsession to get the very best video shots at accident/crime scenes just after (and while) they happen. Possibly Gyllenhaal's best performance to date, with great support from Riz Ahmed. Although I found the ending slightly disappointing, this really is a must see movie!"

Spider-Man: Far From Home was amazing! Great follow up to not only Homecoming, but also Endgame. Can't really say too much about the movie itself as I don't want to give any spoilers, but great story. Loving Tom Holland as Peter Parker and Jake Gyllenhaal was amazing as always as Mysterio. I'll tell you what's not a mystery, that you should get to your friendly neighborhood theater to see Far From Home. Oh, and definitely hang around for a couple of key post credit scenes.

Jake Gyllenhaal is someone I've always considered a quality actor, but his portrayal in this movie is next level. He completely engulfs himself in the role of a creepy as hell fella who slowly allows his mind to be taken over by ideas of grandeur fueled by the suffering of others. A crazy take on what seems to be becoming a very real and serious thing in the world we've created. Definitely something you should check out if you aren't easily woozie and don't mind a bent cranium.

Unoriginal
I'd heard a lot of good things about this film, but sadly it didn't live up to expectations.

Its very much a case of having seen this type of film before many times, and done better. This is just your average run of the mill boxing film that follows a similar story to those that have come before it. Jake Gyllenhaal puts in a good performance but I think him and the rest of the cast are vastly underused. The film itself is very predictable and seems to be lacking in any sort of emotion. Its watchable, but sadly instantly forgettable.

I thoroughly enjoyed this instalment of our web-slinging superhero. It's a nice light addition to the MCU after a rather heavy few films. Gyllenhaal certainly made a good addition as Mysterio, his relationship with Peter in the first half of the film is nicely done and it was good to see the addition of this male figure for Peter to bond with. The film does have some flaws but overall was enjoyable and was a nice come down after Infinity War/Endgame. That feeling was almost completely obliterated for me though by the end credit scenes, I was so angry after watching them that I went from loving the film to hating it in those few minutes of screen time. The implications for the next Spider-man film are surely only a bad thing.
