Jane Fonda appears in this cult classic ahead of it's time, also quite raunchy for when it was made. A pure swinging 60's film.

"Once again, we see sex and death wed like chocolate and peanut butter. Jane Fonda looks like the angel of bitter, angry suicide girls before such girls were ever born. Bruce Dern plays the psycho hillbilly we loved him playing in ‘The Big Valley’ on television. Gig Young claws his way to the bottom of the bottom-feeders, winning the Oscar just before his own real-life suicide. Here’s my favorite “date movie” of all time."

Great 70s thriller!
Another great thriller from Alan J. Pakula, director of All the President's Men, The Parallax View and Presumed Innocent starring Jane Fonda and Donald Sutherland.

A down and out call girl teams up with a private detective to try and solve a missing persons case. The two end up in a torrid relationship both persons seemingly using each other for their own gains. The investigation has several twists and turns through some drug addicts, an unsavory pimp and even some disco nightclubs. Tensions mount as the call girl herself becomes a target of the mysterious vigilante.

I love 70s thrillers like Play Misty for me, Blow Out, Dressed To Kill and this film. Something about the characters talk to each other and also seeing the vintage hairstyles, wardrobes, cars and music always puts you right in the mood.

Jane Fonda and Donald Sutherland are perfect together onscreen as they both portray somewhat unsavory characters in this film but you are still rooting for them. Those who don't like slow developing stories might be bored; however, I thought it was well put together and worth the wait.

Highly recommended!

He's a sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot!
One of the movies I have watched the most times in my life, I probably watched this every week when I was between the ages of 10 and 12 (showing my age here).

I watched again recently and the movies still has the magic.

If ever you want revenge or want to give it to your overbearing, jerkoff boss, this is the movie for you.

The teaming of Lily Tomlin, Jane Fonda and Dolly Parton is so perfect as the three secretaries bent on revenge and Dabney Coleman rounds it out as the loser, backstabbing, chauvinist who everyone hates.

The three ladies imagine what it would be like to do him in, then through hilarious turns of events actually begin to do so.

A true comedy classic!

Admittedly I have never been much of a dolly fan, nothing against her but I'm not into country music. Saying that, I did go into this with an open mind.
From the moment she is on screen she comes across as very likeable and down to earth, she even makes fun of her plastic surgery which sadly has ruined her looks, but we all know it's what's inside that counts.
She's definitely passionate about her work and very political, she also seems to be a very private person. The documentary has interviews with a few big names including Kylie minogue and Jane fonda but nobody had any dirt or juicy gossip, in fact this is the only documentary I've watched so far where's there's been nothing negative about the celeb. It does leave you wanting to know more.

4 friends decide to start a book club after getting the idea from a magazine. 40 years later, despite going their separate ways they still get together for book club every month.
After months of boring books, one lady decides that they will now read 50 shades of grey. After disagreements they agree to take it on and an emergency book club meeting is called once its been read. This is where they agree to try and reignite their sex lives.
I thought the movie had a couple of funny moments and when the friends were together, it reminded me of sex and the city, but with older women. Sadly when the group were separate it failed to hold my attention for very long, which is a shame as it had a few familiar faces such as Jane fonda, who I loved In grace and frankie. I don't know if it would have worked better with younger people but it wasn't for me.
